Great spot but last time I was there people without dogs were seemingly showing their 2 year old toddler (see photo for size) the water for the first time letting them jump crazily around a bunch of dogs trying to play. There is literally a human beach area right next door… it’s people like this that ruin dog-only parks. It’s pretty common knowledge that many dogs are not okay with small children even if they are friendly with other dogs. Leave your toddlers out of the dog areas.

We love this dog park: beautiful views, well maintained, mostly well behaved dogs and friendly people. My pups love splashing in the little waves. One thing to keep in mind is that more than a couple hours before and after high tide, the jetties/rock piles don't go all the way to the water, opening up to the larger park and with it the road and children, etc, to the right, and train tracks immediately to the left, so if you don't have great recall with your dog, it is essential to check the tides before you go down there or you will end up chasing them all over creation. And the trains do come by about every half hour, so it's definitely not safe over there for a dog that wanders. Some dogs are afraid of the train itself too, it's pretty loud, so if that's something that would freak your dog out, it's definitely something to keep in mind.

Dogs had a blast. Great place to play, they have a couple agility pieces, room to run, and a hose to wash off the sand.

Fantastic dog park! You can let your doggies get all nasty with sand and saltwater and then hose them off at the washing station. Doggie bags and water bowls are provided on site. There are portapotties just outside of the gate as well. Can be tough to find a parking spot, but just wait a bit, people are coming in and out nonstop, so it's not a long wait for a spot.
