A particular lady that works here named Danielle is nasty and very unprofessional, she acts like she hates her job!!! They never get back with you. I applied for utility assistance because I’m about to have a baby in a few weeks and I’m barely working. My utility bills are not even affordable. I have to decide weather I’m feeding myself or paying my electric/gas bill. My utilities are being cut off this week!! And these ladies in the office make it more stressful playing 21 questions. They really don’t want you to get the help. If I didn’t need the help why would I be going as far as applying on their website and uploading every document. And the lady asking me Irrelevant questions about how I pay rent back in July of this year. If you don’t want to help the needy, then say that 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Community Action is horrible no one responds to anything you can't even reach a operator I called the mayor's office and his assistant said there is no reason for them to be closed because city hall is up and running people are getting things shut off due to their negligence there is a place that helps with bills and they even said community action is sitting on all this funding for covid and are not helping people I advise anyone having trouble call your congressman attorney general or whoever will listen

I would give them 0 stars if possible. Was on pipp/heap. They kicked me off after a year saying they never received my recert paperwork. But I have an email from them saying they received it. Tried to get that straightened out but noone never replies back to you. By the way they will tell you that if have an appointment you will not get shut off....that is a lie.Got stuck with a 900 aes bill. No one answers emails or the phone. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone there.they either need to close this place down or get a new staff because NO ONE helps you!

We do not have rent assistance (aka "HCRP") in Montgomery county. We do have funds in Preble, Darke and Greene counties. Kathy's answer is on point, 211 is the best first step.
What do s the question
https://miamivalleycap.org/heap/
Call them asap
Yes
What service was it for?
Yes
I haven't heard of C.A.P. offering any such programs. Call 2 b sure. They may be able to steer you in the right direction, though. If not, try Jobs and Family Services. Good luck!
You go to the Mvcap website and down load the application or go to the office there is a table with the applications for services fill it out put a copy of documents required and put it in the drop box they will call you
There is Community Action Partnership off Main but you usually have to make an appointment or wait in line really early in the morning, usually a couple hours before they open because they only take so many people a day. I looked at Ohio.gov and their page says you can apply online with an application they provide. The website is: energyhelp.ohio.gov If you go on Ohio.gov and reach about the PIPP program, it will give you links to everything and step by step instructions on how to apply. Hope this helps! Take care!
We currently have a waiting list but are continuing to process applications and our new online portal will be open in March. The eviction moratorium is still in place until at least March 31 and will likely be extended again but you need to submit an eviction declaration to your landlord - check our website for instructions and the documents you'll need. More funding is on the way for 12 to 15 months of assistance going back to April, 2020. https://miamivalleycap.org/
Yes
You could go to the job center and print out your pay stubs and then take it to them they won't let you do it there that what I do...
Yes, if you are at 125% of the poverty line. To schedule call: 937 963-9443 or schedule online at: http://mvcapets.itfrontdesk.com/ Additional information available here: https://miamivalleycap.org/emergency-services/
You can drop your documentation off on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 AM and 12 NOON, if you are recertifying, only. A team member will review your documentation and provide you with a date and time stamped receipt verifying your application is complete and that we will process it within 60 days. A copy of our documentation checklist is available at miamivalleycap.org, under the "Utility Assistance" tab.
That assistance is not only for the elderly but individuals who would medically benefit from having an airconditioner. Such as asthmatics (young and elderly) and people on oxygen etc. Do call to schedule an appointment and see what the requirements are.
No they help with utilities try saint Vincent depaul or salvation army.
Sorry no, you would have to call and ask them to mail you one
You have to go there and pick up the application and then make a phone call to set up an appointment
U mean ur dl's..yes get ahold of the license bureau and ask them about their program. I had to pay fifty bucks a month towards my reinstatement fees and they allowed me to go through classes and get my driver's license back I've had it now for 5 years it's a good program
Yes .. calling them.. You can go there and get an application.. Thru outside doors.. But inside where staff usually is is closed..
Good luck I've have to put in 3 different applications because somehow they were lost I've put 3 paperwork envelopes in the box and one online. So that's 4 since june and still no word
I do not know what the fax number to Miami Valley Parnership.
I didn't. I had stament from landlord
Maybe, if you qualify for pipp or pipp plus and you have to have an account number already set up. If you have time to stop by there office and ask the front desk what you need to get them in your name and help with the bills. They will tell you everything you need to do it and probably make your appointment
Call them or call 211 and they will be able to assist you further
They have walk in hours but not sure when. You'll have to call them
St. Vincent DePaul at the JOB center. 1111 Edwin C Moses Blvd. Dayton Ohio. Good neighbor house. Monument ave. Dayton.
If it is pipp you can get assistance for dp&l,vectren, or both. I had it for both for the last year.
They will help with public housing but it is not a quick process and you may not want to live in some of the places. I started the process but I found a place with the help of my church after a month. Good luck.
I believe that would fall under weatherization Dept. Call 211, they might be able to direct you in correct direction.
Yes go miamivalleycap.org and click on the Weatherization link the should get you a step in the right direction and good luck!
If it is pipp recertification you can drop it off 9 to 12 Tues and Thurs.
They help to sign you up for HEAP and PIPP , but they never helped or offered any assistance for paying my bill. Best to call and speak to someone and get an appointment.
i think they do... but only after you become part of the program... until then... it's the same number you must call to make an appointment...
I would contact them directly to ask.they help with alot of different things
Greene and Montgomery county we're both operating out of the same office the last I knew. As far as your question I have no idea. Sorry.
We are offering walk-ins Monday through Friday this week, 8-4:30. Bring social security cards for all household members, income for last 30 days, doctors note stating you require air conditioning or make sure you are age 60 or older to qualify. Summer crisis ends Aug. 30th.
I'm not sure they do stuff that in-depth.. but best to call them directly to ask or look on their website
I think there is only a couple options and places that do offer that kind of help but it's hard to get the help because so many other people need it also
Welcome to Ohio my dear... Good luck. . And please.. Stay up to your contract if you should get Action to help you out with your DPL...and Vectren.. There great .. They help.. There awesome
I really don't think the lines exist anymore u can call them 5144777
You have to be at 125% of the poverty line. You have to show that you can sustain your rent amount once brought current. It is on a case-by-case basis- as we determine whether you will self-sustain with the assistance. To make an appointment, call 937 963-9443 - or schedule online https://miamivalleycap.org/
When will the rent assistance program in Montgomery county begin?
Do you also help with gas cards for going to medical appointments as well for Montgomery county? And can I get a gas card by just coming in during walk in times?
Try Christian life center on Finley st Dayton Ohio
They may be they help with rent . Call and ask to speak to someone about your situation and explain to them what happened and what's going on with your situation and sees what happens. God bless you .
You will need to call the appointment line for a next day appointment.
They help with energy audits of your home and with weatherazation and such
Please call our legal clinic at 937-341-5000 ext. 166.
937-341-5002, be sure to note to whose attention it is to, or what program information is going to
Our office is open until 6:30pm during winter crisis M-F
Yes scope was the agency not a program. And MVCAP have multiple programs available
I beleive they only do walkins to just drop off paperwork on Wednesday only . Other than that i really think you have to have an appointment. On their website there is a check list that tells you all the stuff you need to bring , and i do know you need all of it at that time. If you dont they will just tell you to get what you need and to make another appointment
Me and my family is displaced and the. Car we have is The only way we have to get around with our 5 kids do yall guy help with gasoline..
I was told if you owed $ while on PIPP they can terminate your PIPP. And you won't be able to get back on it until it's taken care of. My ex landlord told me that.
Don't worry, they can try to do a manual hold looking up your name and social security number, those are the important details.
U have to live in the residence and claim the right amount of income. If u are not telling the truth and they find out the utility company will want all the bill due and that means past due also. Then the PIPP will no longer apply at that address. Sounds like a mess waiting to happen. Good Luck, hope it gets straightened out.
Energy audits are conducted by our Weatherization Department (https://miamivalleycap.org/weatherization/) Call: 1-800-617-2673 for an application.
No, but you might get some guidance from United way. Final 211
They wont see you if your late even if you call they wont they did the same to me
What county have you been living in, Judith?
Dial 211 to reach United Way. They keep information on all resources that could help you with yhat water bill.
Prove of income id and your bill and info for the people that live with you
You should be on both if you qualify. They do them both at the same time. At the end of your appoint, if the specialist tells you how much you'll be paying each month for DP&L and Vectren, then you are on PIPP. You can ask your utility companies if they have you listed as a PIPP customer. Don't hesitate to walk in and ask the receptionist. She probably won't have the answer but she'll know who to ask. Unfortunately, you'll probably get nowhere if you call. Good luck!
I'm not sure you could call to find out. I think it's only during the winter heating months and then electric in the heat of the summer
I began calling as soon as the morning hours for emergency appointments for shut off notices started. Took me about 20 to 30 minutes to get through. But i got an appointment for that afternoon at 2. Just make sure you have all the documents they require or they'll have you get the documents and then you'll have to make an appointment to go back. Hope this info will help. Best of luck. 😎
No, go to The Job center. Dial 211 for United Way. They can give you a lot of resource information. Good luck!
