If you have young kids, I highly recommend family time at the pool. Splash pad is on, lots of lifejackets for beginning swimming, a fun lazy river and lots of kids for your kids to learn with. Everyone is really friendly. Love how shallow the pool is so toddlers can learn how to play without life vests but it gets deeper so they can have both practice swimming and playing

This place opens alot of things for families and kids. As well as a heated indoor pool. I have lived in Tacoma for some time and didn't know about this place, well hidden gem.

Yes but they have scheduled times for different things like open swim, lap swim only, splash pad only etc. if you look at their website they have the times and type of event their pool is open for.

Yes, they do have membership, but if you receive assistance, then the membership is subsidized. I got my disabled mother one.
Their website indicates That Peoples pool has water exercise. $4/person. Class named '50 and better is from M-F 2-3PM. ANOTHER IS HIGH INTENSITY TUES AND THURS 7-8PM THEN FRI AT 530-630 PM

Know that schedule I know open swim is everyday but I don't know I go to the church right next to the PPL Center so I really don't know too much about the inside operations of the building in the swimming hours have a blessed day
Life vests have to be Coast-Guard approved in order for them to be allowed into the pool, which is stamped on the inside of the life vest
It won't cost more than $5, and may very well be less. There are decent dispensers of shampoo/conditioner you can use, but bring your own towels. The showers in the bathrooms in the pool room are hotter.
