From the officer who pulled me over to the ladies in the traffic office- every single person is rude and hostile for no reason. Even as I try to pay my spending ticket, they are just overly disrespectful. They will be sure to schedule your court date at the end of the month, knowing full well most people pay rent on the first. Then they refuse to offer payment plans. Oh, and if you are unable to get off work on the date of your court appearance, forget about being able to reschedule— you have to go to court to ask for a new court date. Because that’s a logical rule. Also, I had to leave 3 voicemails requesting to speak to someone in the traffic department regarding my ticket date- they didn’t even bother to call me back. I had to call a fourth time to find out they don’t allow reschedules. I’m a nice and respectful person, but the officer who pulled me over was incredibly threatening. It was like he was purposely trying to intimidate me or cause an escalation. Either way, he was far from making me feel safe and protected. But I guess sheriffs don’t actually care about that. This town must be full with a bunch of crooks, and I will do my best to not support any businesses in this Parish. I would recommend everyone to just avoid this area in general.
