ER nurse was all to excited to tell me I wouldn't make it the next year let alone the next 3 months. I was 29. I have children. Came in via ambulance because I had an unexpected seizure. CT showed a brain tumor. If I would have been in my right mind, I would have demanded to be transferred to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

This is the survey i left for the Geisinger St Lukes ER, Orwigsburg. 15 months ago I was hospitalized and treated for Guillain Barre Syndrome. I was well on the path to recovery but I went to the ER the other night because I lost feeling in my right leg... Again. Was feeling heavy, cold, and numb. I was in and out in 30 minutes. When we arrived, the entire ER staff was sitting down with their feet propped up on the desk. They didnt examine me, didnt run any tests, and based their lack of answers on the workup I had done in March. Not super helpful... So let me ask you this... What kind of doctor doesn't do a neuro exam when the patient is presenting with neurological symptoms and has a history of neurological problems? What kind of doctor doesn't run a single test on a patient that has ongoing health issues and a new onset of symptoms? What kind of doctor discharges a patient that cannot feel their leg and tells them there is nothing they can do. What kind of doctor belittles a patient when they are scared and vulnerable? Makes them feel small when they say they don't have a "family doctor" because a functional medicine practitioner isn't a "real doctor"? What kind of doctor bases their medical opinion on tests you recieved 8 months ago? Dr. Bonfante.. That's the kind of doctor he his. I went to see my "not real doctor" the very next day, who started me on steroids and I am on the path to recovery again. Dr. Bonfante should be ashamed of himself, and so should St. Luke's. I hope you don't plan on sending me a bill in the mail, because you won't be receiving a dime.

This is the nicest hospital I've ever been to. Staff is over the top friendly, attentive and caring! I wish more hospitals were like this.

At this time therapeutic phlebotomies are not performed at GSL.
Geisinger St. Luke's does not have a labor and delivery department.
