Great place for kids and adults. Wading pool(lazey river) gets real full sometimes but still a good time. Masks not mandatory. Social distancing encouraged. Limited attendance. Show up early!

The staff were friendly. The pool was nice and warm. As with any other lap swim set up. There are lanes with various speed levels. Check for me in the very slow lane :-). Remember to either pre purchase a lap swim card or have exact change!

Great place to learn to swim and most of the instructors are good. We did have some trouble with one being a bit too aggressive with the younger kids however. Water is warm and plenty of bathroom space to shower off. Parking is usually easy enough to get a spot as well.

This an excellent pool. We do the swim lessons for babies/toddlers and it beat all expectations. The kid pool is warmer than the adult pool and it's not the typical kids pool. It's pretty full on with a slide, lazy river loop and a slide and many other fun things for kids.

Go to their website and look seattle.gov/parks
Yes and no. There is no provision I know of for online purchase of single tickets. Parks and Rec has a stored value card called a "Quick Card". Show up once to have your picture taken. Show up intermittently to load it with money. When it's time to swim? Swipe and go!
There is a sauna and a hot tub. The hot tub doesn't get very hot. Because it's in an area that's also a child/family area there are times when it is covered and not operating.
Anybody can swim as long as the swimmer(s) meet age requirements based on time of day. See schedules at RB pool website or call the pool. Also need a ticket. Kids swim can sell out, especially when bad weather.
They have swim fitness and open swim
Yes, there are accessible/family changing rooms. I'm not sure about elderly/disabled hours. They're still on limited capacity due to covid. There is a lift but no roll-in access.
See their website for hours https://www.seattle.gov/parks/find/pools/rainier-beach-pool
Group swimming lessons at Rainier beach are very inexpensive. Check their website for prices. They are a great deal
8825 Rainier Ave S. Roughly 1 block north of Henderson St on the west side of Rainier ave
No. Music is only played during water exercise classes and other fitness classes.
No. It's 3.81 meters or 12 ft. 6in. You know we Americans didn't bother to learn the metric system, so I had to look it up! Coleman may be deeper, but I couldn't find the actual depth.
There's a fee to use the pool, but it's quite modest. $3.75 for children and $5.50 for adults. The community center is free to enter and I believe you can use the gym free of charge.
I haven't been swimming lately, but it used to be on Sundays.
It is in the Rainier Beach Community Center on Rainier Avenue near the library. There's a warm pool and a lap pool. I have not been in a while but you can see current costs and sessions for both pools online.
Yep. Go to the website and if the schedule is a bit old...or if it's a holiday give them a call. Schedules are a dynamic thing. They change!!
Sometime in march i think? Last day of current classes is in April.
It does not get crowded at all; there is plenty of pool space.
