Absolute garbage front desk. Daughter had to go be swabbed for flu, came back positive 20 min later. That was after waiting in the parking lot alone for 15 min after calling upon arrival. Had to walk in to get someone’s attention. That was at 11:00. Said they would call in meds. They did to a pharmacy we haven’t used in 4-5 years. After they ran me around Rincon, PW, and Pooler……… had to call again after all this and have them send to Kroger, which was at 1:30 was out for another errand so stopped by, @ 3:00 Kroger still hasn’t received. Called front desk again to have script sent to Kroger, nurse said will send after this patient…avoid this office if at all possible. May be on Hidden Gem Road, but for sure not a hidden gem in terms of taking care of their patients.

Had to take a relative to this location and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and the Dr was great. Clean atmosphere!

She was a decent doctor at first, but now she is the worse ever¡ she's never in the office or always got to reschedule . Been trying to get my kids check-up for a whole and it's the same excuses everytime. Don't waste your time coming here¡¡

This is literally the worst doctors office I’ve ever dealt with in my whole lifetime. From it being 1130 and they close for lunch (which is suppose to be at 12). They say they put in referrals in but never got my referral.. Called multiple times for the referral nothings been done. Now I have a serious inner ear infections and can’t get me an appointment for almost a week after the ER said I need to get anabiotic‘s for my doctor. Very rude staff. They have even set my appointment sent a reminder for my appointment I got all the way there and they told me it was the day before even though I had all the messages. Every time I’ve had to go through this doctors office it has been a nightmare. At this point the doctors office needs to be shut down!!! I would not ever send my children or anybody here!!!

Amy, there is not a Dr. Heisman affiliated with Effingham Family Medicine. Dr. Romualdo Laygo and Kristie Moore, NP see patients in our Guyton location.
If you call the office and choose option #2, they can give you that information: (912) 772-8670. They do offer significant discounts if self-pay patients (that's you!) pay their bill in full the day of their appointment.
