Came in late October, absolutely beautiful weather could not have been more perfect. Keep an eye out for the red diamonds on the trees that lead the way, the carnivorous plants are very small and low to the ground there are many of them but a little difficult to see at first.

Seeing Venus fly traps growing in their natural element is worth the visit. Just don't plan for much of a workout. I didn't find them the first few times I visited. The Venus fly traps are smaller than you might expect, if you haven't seen them before. Like another reviewer mentioned, there's tons of them not far past the boardwalk. Once you see them, you'll see them everywhere!

About 10 minutes in, keep following the red diamond trails. They're generally lurking on the south east side of bushes so look back as you walk in. Hint, they're everywhere once you spot them.

yes quite nice lots of native flora and fauna takes you back before logging took over the area in the 50s Enjoy....
See answer from Dennis Z. The trail goes about a mile in from the parking lot before it sort of peters out. Short segments of the trail can be wet w/ up to 5 in. of water, depending on the season.
