I had to drop Kindred because there was an issue with my husband’s oxygen mask! My husband has a heart shaped face and the mask the nurse put on him on Wednesday was a one that fits all but it was not made for my husband’s face! The nurse told me Thursday morning that they would order what he needed from their supplier and he would have it the next day! No results there for our issue! My husband was so agitated and I let the nurse know over the phone Thursday morning first thing. At the time I felt like our issue would be resolved within in 24 hours but it wasn’t! I called Friday afternoon and the 2 nurses That were involved said they were working on the issue but would not listen to me but continued to talk over me on the phone and assured me since we had found a nasal line that we had from Lincare and disconnected the mask that he continually would pull off of his face because it was hurting his ear it did not have the elastic band but went over his ear which caused an irritation especially to his left ear which he had to have partially removed due to cancer several years ago and the fact that he can no longer can wear his dentures which helped hold the nasal line in because of a 50 lb weight lost! The nasal line would probably have worked but with his 2 issues it wouldn’t stay in his nose! I had to tape the tubing to the side of his face and put toilet paper around the tubing over his left ear! We didn’t have left from our previous oxygen supplier the rubber tubes that they supplied to eliminate the irritation on his ears! They suggested that I send my grandson to Walmart to buy the sunglass holders to use to hold this in place until they could get the mask he needed from their supplier! I finally called their supplier only to be told Kindred had not contacted them Thursday nor Friday about my husband’s issue! If they had called them the issue would have been taken care of that day! So they lied to me and didn’t take into consideration what we were dealing with! I ask them to go out of their little bubble and get what he needed and I would pay for it so he could have the mask like the one was delivered by their oxygen supplier when this oxygen was delivered! I would not recommend this Hospice Group because of the way they handled this situation! I can not say enough good things about the aide and Social Worker that works for them! The reason my husband has been on oxygen the last 10 years is due to COPD! Now he has other health issues! Nancy McGowan

I cannot say enough about this great group of people. They took a very difficult time and helped us transition each day. We will remember their kindness and support forever, they allowed our loved one to move through this time with dignity.
