I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of this incredible team! Since coming aboard in the spring as the Director of Nursing my experience has been nothing but positive. We have a complete management staff who work together seamlessly to ensure all the residents' needs are met. The front line care team are exceptional and often go above and beyond by providing small kindnesses sometimes out of their own pockets. Recently one of our Medication Technicians came up with the idea to have a luau for our memory care community. The Dream Team all came together and a local hospice pitched in and a luau was had! The staff is nice but extremely disorganized! My father who has dementia was supposed to go into the Memory Care Center. We were originally told he couldn’t go because he had a catheter (which was only temporary) so we found another place. A few days later they called and said they gave us the wrong info and he could come in with a catheter and told us to cancel the other place, so we did. They sent a nurse to do an assessment and said he could move in in 2 days. The day before he was supposed to move in, they called and said he needed to make an appt with the urologist to have the catheter removed and if he needed to have it put back in, they could take care of it. So we made the appt for the morning he was supposed to move in. A few hours later they called again and said they had a meeting and could no longer take him. We were livid to say the least. If you have any idea what it’s like to be the sole caregiver of a dementia patient, you know how draining it can be. To be put through this situation is borderline heartless! This place needs to get it’s act together and hire staff who actually know what they’re talking about!!

I moved my client from another facility that was very verbal and disrespectful to the elderly. I have never seen her this happy in the 7 years I have been caring for her.
