Went in for 3 hours for a kidney stone. Discharged after 3 hours and came home to a $25,000 bill (got an ultrasound and CT scan). How is this even legal?! 25k for 3 hours and mild illness. This is absolute robbery! Service was poor and lacked care as well. Never again!

The staff brought me back immediately and were kind. The CT tech was really nice and caring. The Dr. was so sweet and personable. I appreciate what they do every day.

I hate to give a 1 star review - because the service was great. They were prompt and got me in and out very quickly. HOWEVER - the staff/registration official failed to explain that you will receive several bills after you leave. Not only did I have to pay my ER copay, I have now received bills from the physician (since they bill separately from the ER) for $1400 and from the radiologist $1000. I was never told that the providers all bill separately when I came to the ER. So I paid the ER my $300 copay (which the initial bill before insurance was $6000) for what?? The room that I sat in??? Then I have to pay for the doctor and 2 x-rays I got as well? It is ridiculous and unfair to the customers. Whenever I call anyone from billing at the ER, the physician team or my own insurance, all I get is "sorry you weren't informed, this is the way it is". I would never come to this ER again simply for the billing scam that is being run! I will go to Baptist only as they will only charge the copay for the emergency visit and not try to steal from you by having each person you see inside of the ER bill you separately! It's a racket!
