It take about 20 minutes from parking lot to the beach

Favorite lot at Jones Beach. Right at the nature and energy center. Beaches are less busy. Almost a bit of a hidden gem. I like to run the paved trail each morning. There are restrooms on each of the neighboring lots. There are lifeguards at the beach.

Pets are not allowed on any Nassau county beaches

do i need a dashboard permit to go to west end 2 parking lot was there the other day i know you need it for the workdock fishing site but do you also need it if you want to park in the regular parking field?

When you take the exit to go to the West end beaches before you get to West end one or West end two you have to go past the guard shack where you need a parking permit to pass.
