I have been so impressed with the breadth of services they are able to offer to the visually impaired with an emphasis on assisting them in being able to return to daily life and independence. Visually Impaired Foundation of Georgia is located in Athens serving another area of Georgia than we do here at Vision Rehabilitation Services of Georgia (VRS). Our services are very similar and we both, along with 4 other organizations in the state of Georgia, serve the visually impaired/blind community.
We have been told some apartment communities have dedicated apartments for those living with a disability so you may want to call and ask about such accommodations as you contact the individual complexes.
Please consult your eye doctor or vision specialist for attention as soon as possible. We do not treat nor diagnose eye conditions. We supply rehabilitative services to those living with low vision/vision impairments and/or blindness that can not be corrected and is impacting their daily activities.
