Empire Beauty School uses professional products at all times to help build healthy hair to help it grow. The prices are very reasonable. You are getting a professional service still it's just that the students are building their clientele as well as completing there school hours before becoming licensed by the state board. These students work hard and do a great job. If there is something wrong with that then IDK what else to tell you. I will tell you this as a professional Stylist you would get charged more outside of the school.

Hours have changed. Prices have gone up. Appointments are schedule on Mondays for throughout the week . You can do walk-ins , not sure how long that's going to last . And yes twist and braids but they are expensive , the school tack on a lot of unnecessary fees : My niece is 4 and they wanted to charge me 60 bucks to do her hair , just some simple scalp braids . You may want to try Groupon !!

You need to go in for a patch test 24 hours before your service to make sure you aren't allergic. You don't have to make an appointment for a patch test. Just stop by when the school is open.

A trim is $11 and includes a shampoo and basic blow dry. Styling starts at an additional $10 depending on the style you want! Deep conditioners are $8 and really help in this heat and humidity.
