There is a twenty-five dollar,one time registration fee. They receive new items daily,so keep calling. When I was there I saw nice electric scooters,they were free but you had to purchase your battery pack which could be in the range of seventy to eighty dollars. Ask questions when contacting them.

You can get it free all you have to do is go there and register for $25 if they don't have one they will put you on the waiting list and they will call you when they get one in and going forward once you register anything you need just call them and they will give it to you

As far as I know FODAC is local to the Atlanta Metropolitan area. There may be a similar charitable organisation in Tampa. I would Google it under something like "charity thrift shop Tampa."

FODAC offers wheelchairs with locks on the front of the main wheels. There is NO wheelchair work brakes. Trying to use the wheel locks as brakes is a dangerous effort. Stop the chair with the push rings, then set the brakes. When calling for a product, be sure to call at 10:30 AM. They won't answer earlier and if they have washer you need, they could easily run out by 10:45.
