I am so glad we were referred to Lisa! Our marriage is in a whole new & better place! We've been married 17 years. Our communication has been a disaster for at least the last 5 years. The tension in the marriage and the bickering had gotten ridiculous. Our fist visit with Lisa was excellent--we learned a lot that first day and subsequent visits thereafter. Lisa is warm, gets right to the point and she can be really funny. She feels like an old friend, but things are always kept professional. She helped us with our communication and helped us get a better grasp on what a healthy marriage should look like. My husband was dreading going to counseling, but after our first visit he told me, "I think Lisa can help us." After 3-4 visits things were much improved. We worked with Lisa for a little less than 2 months (our last visit is next week), and we feel great about wrapping up our work next visit. I highly, highly recommend her to anyone wanting more from their marriage--worth EVERY PENNY! The only reason I didn't give her 5 starts (I would have done 4.75 if possible) is because one visit she was almost 20 minutes late and we were frustrated. She still met with us our full session and she even discounted our session fee that day. I can see how that can happen in this work, but if there was a downside at all that is the only one i can think of.
