We absolutely LOVE living here!!!! Before moving to Gilbert, we toured over 20 apartments within Gilbert, Mesa, and Chandler. Nothing has compared to the green grass and trees found here. While the online reviews were a little intimidating, I have had zero issues with management. In fact, Amy and Jessica have made the transition to Arizona SO much better than I could have imagined!! They have been very attentive and helped with any issues I have had. My family and I are so grateful to have found these apartments, and even more grateful for the awesome staff who work here. Keep it up management!

Decent apartments but dishonest management. Aime Benzing property manager created a culture of deceit amongst her staff. Aime threw in fake charges for damage caused by previous renters. Her staff knows that's not true but fear calling her out. She's a micro manager and manipulative. I do NOT recommend Highland groves to anyone unless Aime is OUT

Update: As another review mentioned, there is another apartment complex in the area with poor reviews, but this is definitely the one that we lived at. I would not recommend renting here. There are some pretty gross business practices. A few weeks after moving out, they’ll let you know that they are keeping your deposit and are charging you more for normal things that they do whenever a resident moves out. They charge an exorbitant amount for really shoddy work (the carpets don’t even have adhesive) so expect to pay some extra money after moving out. This may not happen to everybody but just be aware that it can happen to you. Still a beautiful neighborhood though! Stayed here for 2 years. Both the bad and the good are true to some degree. Those that leave 5 star review after touring have no idea what they are talking about. Pros: awesome area if you are looking for a family-oriented suburb experience. This neighborhood is beautiful and the complex pays the HOA fees so that residents can use the amenities of the complex and the surrounding Morrison area. I attended the ASU polytechnic campus so it was a great distance from there and plenty of grocery stores and shopping areas nearby. Residents are very nice and reflect the area well. Great amenities: the gym and pool and parks are wonderful especially if you have little ones (we did not but saw many young families enjoying these) Cons: Do not know how expensive he rates are now but our rent for a 2 bedroom runs around $1550. This isn’t too bad with a roommate but the quality is questionable. Wiring is TERRIBLE. I don’t know if other units have this issue but we rent a 2 bed 2 bath unit and both bedrooms are on the same breaker switch so any power surge trips the breaker for both rooms. Also, the light bulbs go out constantly because of this shoddy electrical work in the kitchen. Maintenance is good if you can get them. They will resolve your issue but is takes some hassle with the front office and a lot of time. Parking is weird to say the least. “2 cars allowed on the property” is the rule but others definitely have more than that in uncovered spots which leads to a shortage of spots especially on weekends. Overall, very poor workmanship on the general appliance side. We had leaks and extremely loud banging in the ceiling that never got fixed after reaching out to the office numerous times. Office employees were hit or miss. Jessica Odell is AMAZING and deserves every bonus there is to offer. The other workers were really rude for some reason? I don’t blame them, but wow it makes it even more difficult to deal with. COVID aside, it’s a decent place to live. If you want a quiet and low-maintenance place to live, this might not be the place for you. If you want a fun suburb experience, maybe it is. I highly recommend reading the other reviews (except for the 5 stars from people that just moved in or just toured or the 1 star reviews claiming this complex is prejudice). They will give you a reasonable idea of what it’s like to live here. Thank you highland groves, you have shown me what and what not to look for in future homes.

I am not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from? Perhaps people are getting confused with another apartment complex down the street with a VERY similar name?
