Nice doctors and staff they just don't have the care you might need if you have any medical situation that requires urgent answers. Triage is left in limbo as you try and fight for your life and make appointments with their useless call center. Your grandma could take better care of you their departments which are more 9-5 than actual caring doctors. You might as well just call the ambulance you might get better care that way.

The sleep center used to be a very good provider before they built their new building and started having a call center take all the calls. The people working in the call center are obviosly not professionals in any capacity, unlike the receptionists that they used to have. I can't get a hold of someone on my care team when I call in, and I rarely recive a call back in a timely manner (I've waited days before). The response to their patient portal is hit and miss at best, which has resulted in it becoming very hard to get my medications filled in a timely manner. Its a mad shame because I used to really like the care I got here, but it seams they have sacrificed quality for...whatever they have now I guess. That being said the rare times I do manage to get a hold of someone not working in the call center (which takes a lot of calls and patience) they are willing to help, albeit they do tend to make mistakes more frequently than they used to (for example perscribing medications to a pharmacy that can't fill them or turning incomplete paperwork in for a medication renewal), which wouldn't be a big problem in itself if I could get a hold of someone again who could actually help to resolve the issue. I have talked to my doctor several times about the problem and asked if there is any other way I could get a hold of someone besides calling through the call center. Every time the answer is no. The only saving grace is that the medical staff do seem to care about my concerns, but the problem is that they seem powerless to do anything about them. As it stands now I am switching providers at this point.

There is not enough space here to adequately express how impressed I am with NJH. As they are the premier diagnostic and treatment center (IMHO) for my specific pulmonology matters, I made a 750-mile bee line to them immediately upon receiving a diagnosis. To say that they are thorough is an understatement. I was provided a daily, detailed schedule for nine days, two weeks before my arrival. And with only two exceptions, I was seen at my scheduled time for the appointments. NJH was very respectful of my time and it seems that it's not just my time that they respect - see included photo, which is posted at various reception desks throughout the facility. I am fortunate to have Dr Shannon Kasperbauer as the lead on my team of providers. She is amazing and patient and it's evident that she gets and sees what I did not say. She seems to have an uncanny sixth sense of thoughts and feelings. And with very few exceptions, employees in all departments were friendly, courteous, and respectful. I am slated to be a life-long patient for my condition and the pain of that idea is lessened just knowing that Dr Kasperbauer is treating me. UPDATE: Unfortunately, my review of NJH has reduced from five stars to two stars. This has nothing to do with Dr Kasperbauer; I maintain that she is amazing. Today marks six full weeks during which time I have made numerous attempts to get an order for DME - DME that is required in order to use the medication Dr Kasperbauer prescribed to me. The competency of the Infectious Disease unit personnel, the DME director, and the patient advocate is questionable on this matter. That I cannot get an order for DME in six weeks time is unacceptable and incomprehensible. It was suggested to me by the DME director via the patient advocate to purchase the DME and pay for it out of pocket! The DME I require is covered by Medicare; the brand recommended by NJH is not. So, rather than send an order for the brand that Medicare covers, I'm advised to pay out of pocket for the brand recommended by NJH, but not required. While I'm waiting six weeks for NJH to write the order, I have borrowed devices that are NOT of the brand NJH orders. They work fine! Excerpt from an email from patient advocate, who put icing on the cake by getting my name wrong in the email, " If that is the case [not meeting my deductible], it may be more cost effective for [sic] to purchase the nebulizer at a CVS or Walgreen's." Outrageous! BOTTOM LINE: NJH IS UNABLE TO GET TO ME THE DME NEEDED TO ADMINISTER THE MEDICATION THEY PRESCRIBED!

Terrible place to work. Very cliquish/immature environment with punitive managers. One whole clinic had every nurse but one quit at once when they were being disrespected by management and ignored by HR. Also, I quit in early may and didn’t get my COBRA forms until mid-July, when I was already well into my next job.

The main campus of National Jewish Health is at 1400 Jackson Street, just east of Colorado Blvd on Colfax. The St Joseph campus is at 19th and Downing.

Proper care and treatment. They are the best respiratory hospital in the USA.
It's a clinic, not a hospital. But you can be admitted to Saint Joseph Hospital to be treated by NJH staff, they are both affiliated.
Not sure I would call. I know they are open Monday through Friday.
No, they do not have room in the lot for an RV.

Dont have an answer for that. Need to call make an appointment. I dont work in that department.
Medicare is your insurance and memory loss is something to speak to your doctors about. National Jewish does take Medicare. But you need to speak to someone in financial counseling to deternine how much and what part of insurance is covered or what will be covered.
cough clinic? like an urgent care? no urgent care. but we can help determine what the cough could be from.
I am not a physician. i am a Respiratory therapist. i would suggest speaking to a physician at National Jewish. I work with pts who have MAC, and Bronchiectasis. some patients do require inhaled or infused antibiotics. but a consolt is best.
