Breakfast was similar each day with a nice variety of hot and cold items to choose from. The front desk staff were always helpful! Hotel was modern. Our room had a couch, a desk, and a fridge. Nice extras. The only microwave in the hotel was in the kitchen area but was accessible at all times. Shower was roomy enough for two! :)

The amenities were extremely lacking. Their swimming pool was not in service and they said it’s been on and off service for several weeks. They had 1 phone in the whole entire room and the buttons didn’t work. You couldn’t even call outside the room. None of the buttons worked. There was 1 trash can I’m the whole room. The trash can had no trash bag. 1 phone in the whole room. No microwave. The hotel had 1 working microwave in the whole entire building. The hair dryer was broken or not working in any of the outlets in the room. The blankets had a stain. The bath tub had still water that did not drain properly. There is a brown/tan stain on the tub. The tiles/grout had brown stain. The hallways were too warm almost like a sauna. A person could faint if they get too hot. The exercise room had half of the machines not working. The only positive thing is that majority of the staff were friendly. The cleaning lady gave us trash bags immediately. The girl downstairs told us we had to call another hotel if we wanted to swim and when we did, their chain hotel said no they will not accommodate. So that was disappointing. I am really not sure how this hotel is even rated 4.2 stars. No working pool, hair dryer broken, stains in bath tubs, tiles and even in blankets. Phone wouldn’t dial out. 1 working microwave in the entire hotel?

Dated Hyatt near the RIC airport. The Hyatt is located in middle of a large shopping complex with Target, Publix and many restaurants in walking distance. They do have a Shuttle which is shared with many other hotels and run about every 20 minutes. The rooms are very dated. The AC in the room was not working properly so the hotel manager had to come for 5-10 minutes to fix it, the room just felt old. Breakfast offer is nice and is average in line with any other Hyatt place property. I got stranded at the airport due to a flight cancellation after I checked out of the hotel. Instead of returning to this hotel I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott and was very impressed with that property.

Checking in is always quick and easy. Front desk clerk was nice and friendly. Lobby is always maintained and clean just like the hallways. Rooms need a little renovating or tender care as carpeting has a lot of stains and even on the bed sheets. Towels are a little rough to the touch. Shower water pressure is slow. Took awhile for hot water to kick in. Closet glass door doesn't shut properly. Alarm ⏰️ doesn't work when you try to set the clock and t.v. plugs were unplugged. Went downstairs to advise front desk clerk to assist as she has been on the phone since we checked in. That is why I had to go downstairs in person to ask about the t.v. She said I had to get another room but she was checking in a group of 5 guests. I did say I was there before them. She ignored me and continued checking them in. I interrupted and asked again what I needed to do. She replied, "pack your things up and come back downstairs to get another room".
