Such a beautiful park. I always heard about it and I’m not sure why I took so long to visit. I went in September so it was very lush and green. I saw a few deer, wild turkeys, rabbits and gators. I was hoping to see bears and Florida panthers but I guess I wasn’t lucky. I plan to visit again during the dry season. I highly recommend biking or walking the trails at the end of the 7 mile drive. Raw, pure Florida at its best.

Love it. It is so beautiful! Very peaceful and sharmin. This park has a museum. Water park, beautiful walking bridge, picnic area, playground. Good place to spend a day with the whole family.

Saw two gators by the side of the gravel road. One huge bear. You have to drive at least five miles into the gravel road to see gators or bears.

Everglades city or head south on 41 you will see airboat tours.
I have had the best luck from November to April but to see ghost s May to August is good
Yes there are some
My understanding is it will be permanently closed to vehicle going forward. It is now a biking and walking only road. Less impact on nature and wildlife.
Yes! Along the road is best. Drive slow and be quiet.. you might even see an Everglades mink! Also bear, bobcat, and panther are spotted here on occasion. There is no hunting in the Fakahatchee.
No fishing, tourist walk thru the ancient Everglades, wonderful if you like nature!
we did not find any. maybe you good luck
Not at all.. You would just have to get lucky to see one.
Yes, you would have to go all the way down to Hwy 41. But there are some really nice site some with hook ups
Yes, two owls, mother with child
They do have a campground. It is located on the left, when you pull into the main area where the info center is. The park is mainly staffed by volunteers. I did not see anyone there when I went hiking yesterday.
yes...but lots apparently have water covering after Irma washed out culverts.
