District Angling

I stopped in to district angling earlier this week and I’m beyond happy that I did. With being new to the fly tying/fly fishing world, the amount of product in the market is INSANE! Shopping online is easy but can quickly get out of hand due to the amount of product on the market. I spent roughly an hour in the shop talking fly tying and music with Ivan and grizzly… the knowledge they both gave me is priceless and seemed to be endless. I easily could have spent an entire day just picked their brains about fly tying. It may be easier to just click a few buttons and order the things you may or may not need but both Ivan and grizzly both made it easy to chose brick and mortar over e-commerce. I am thankful that I have such an incredible place such a short distance away. They both made a life long customer out of me!

I called for live bait and even though they dont have it the associate really took his time and gave me just excellent information and his time. That says something when - even though i wasnt going to be a customer on that day - the staff was really helpful. A+ and when i need fly gear id drive past many other shops to this one for customer service like that.

Came in here thinking it was a tackle / live bait shop, turned out to be a fly shop. Super nice guys, helped me figure out what to do / buy to take this girl out! Awesome dudes

I’m from Colorado and just moved to DMV trying to have some conversation with local fly shop to get some local knowledge. but walk in with enthusiasm and walk out with disappointment. Not very helpful shop. The guy is not willing to provide you more info than buy this book and everything you need is in this book. Not sure about what’s wrong with his attitude but Orvis would help you out and chat. Where is your enthusiastic for you fly fishing pal? Come on pal!
