WVU Med Harpers Ferry has provided excellent health care for me. They have been caring and attentive to my needs and have worked cooperatively with another provider I have from another area where I used to live.

Been going here for well over 30 years - back when they were on Washington Street and before WVU acquired them. Unfortunately, my experiences here get worse with each visit, especially during the last few years. Our PCP is very good - in the very rare instances that we actually get to see her. Don't waste your time calling and asking for a return call from anyone, if you can get through at all. During our last visit, they did not allow any support guardians ("visitors") in the building. My wife suffers from multiple chemical sensitivity. Artificial scents and chemicals give her debilitating migraines. I have been going in to check her in for years, way before Covid, and was able to go with her in the examination room to help her remember everything she wanted to ask the doctor, and to offer emotional support, especially if she gets a migraine from perfume scent in the waiting room, exam rooms, even after Covid. No more. They have become strictly a business with unbending rules, with disregard to their *customers* (who used to be patients with medical needs, but who are now just liabilities that they can dictate their ridged rules to). WVU has bought up everything around here, so you have little choice but to live by their rules. And, their local hospital, Jefferson Medical, is run by an inept ED group. One thing they do consistantly well: bill you. We deserve better. Someone needs to investigate this place! It's no wonder they have a 2.8 rating. My wife's latest visit was laced with misdiagnosis, and incorrect information on her after-visit summary. During her recent visit to JMC's ED, she was seen by a HFFM staff doctor, who told her to schedule a follow-up visit to see *him*at HFFM in a couple of weeks. When she showed up for the appt, the doctor who saw her in the ED, who is friendly & easy to talk to, was unavailable. The doctor that she ended up seeing (you hardly EVER see your primary care physician) paid no attention to my wife when she tried to explain her issue and its history. She may as well have just sat there & kept her mouth shut. After her visit, she tried calling right back to discuss her after-visit summary, which contained incorrect entries, but as usual, she sat in a queue for over 5 minutes. They have no problem wasting their customers' time, but they also have no problem billing for your time that you are in their way. Very sad. Sadder yet is that this review will likely go unnoticed. I just hope they are professional enough to not retaliate against her for my scathing review. Also, I have some medical issues myself, but I feel that future visits here will just be a waste of time & money, and I often wonder how many others with medical needs opt out of seeing a doctor because they don't want to deal with the hastle. Update: my wife did finally get through to a receptionist, who was very cordial, and who said she would do her best to get my wife's medical record corrected, but no changes were ever made.

Everyone is very nice, but the whole practice is disorganized. I was sceduled and I sat over two hours and than was told that I was sceduled to early because it would take longer for my insurance to get verified because it was for birthcontrol. So they canceled out the payment for that day. For a month I called and called and I just kept being told its not verified yet. It took for me to call my insurance myself to get them to get me in before my birthcontrol implant was due. I was promised to be squeezedd in with the woman doctor who I originally had , but was told she nothing available. So I was sceduled with Joseph Enfonde. I was not told he was a resident who just graduated and was training. He was nice yes, but he cut my arm open way to much to remove the nexplanon. I bled for two days and had a very big gauge in my arm. Its been two weeks and is not heeled completely. Another reason I noticed he was new is because I watched him keep the same gloves on that he did my procedure with to pull his pen out and write when my next implant date is due. Very un sanitary.

I've came here a few times and now have Dr. Keyane Haile as my Primary Care Doctor. I couldn't be happier - to finally find a doctor that actually listens. She's attentive, caring, compassionate and truly sweet soul. Each time has been very helpful, I highly recommend to anyone that wants a doctor that listens an provides good insight in resolving heath issues.
