no one ever answers the phone so you can get any answers or updates. then they tell you to send them a email which they claim is the fastest way to contact them. i emailed them over a week ago and still have no received a reply. the worst customer service in va. if you are not going to do your job then why work there at all? ridiculous and aggravating

I wish the customer service would improve during the pandemic.

It's a state agency, so there is no corporate office. The Governor's office would be their version of "corporate".
You can't get a temporary license, you have to apply at dcjs.com you have to get an unarmed license first then can go armed from there you also have to go through an approved dcjs training academy.
No
Good morning. Today is a state holiday (Lee-Jackson). The state offices will be closed Monday as well for Martin Luther King Day. I hope this helps.
U can but u need a application to apply the results from prints. It's best to have an application on file.
Please visit www.dcjs.virginia.gov for training information.
That would depend on the type of license that you are applying for. Please visit www.dcjs.virginia.gov for a list of eligibility requirements.
Check out Security Operation Services. They're just outside of the city line (about a mile) in Henrico County. They're still on the bus line. They have an awesome staff!
No. It is at the corner of 11th and Bank Street at Capital Square in the city of Richmond.
You need almost 200$ in all payment for training fingerprint dcjs charges as well
Se d the copies.
Take the armed security course and pass it. Then take the certificate in and have it added to your account and pay the DCJS fee for it.
Depends on what course you take. First course could cost over a hundred dollars. You have to check.
State job working at DCJS. Everything else they supervise is private sector.
Check with DCJS for a list of approved classes. They have a list.
You need to look online for the classes, picking the one thats suits you. Complete the course and update your status with Virginia Department of Criminal Justice.
