I wrote an email to the Romanian consulat at Washington DC on September 16 2022 asking that they look for a US citizenship certificate in my name that was sent by the United States Customs and Immigration Service to the consulate in January 2022. I cannot get a confirmation that they have received the e-mail or that they are searching for the document. I called and wrote to to the contact number in Romania. They told me to call the consulate. Calling the consulate it takes me through the whole menu and cannot get a hold of anybody to ask for help for my particular problem. The consular service is non existent. Pathetic. Gabriel Rotaru and his team are so incredibly rude, disrespectful and nor helpful at all! They treat you like garbage… “you’re only coming from Virginia? You can come back for that piece of paper that we could easily give you now, but we won’t”. I never want to deal with them again!!!

E-Visa portal doesn't work. Every time I try to set up an account it keeps showing "an unexpected error has occurred". Called the 4 phone numbers for the consulate in Washington, got the same automated message to go to the E-Visa portal (that still doesn't work) for appointments and visa information. Finally called the emergency phone number listed, and much to my surprise someone answered the phone. Was completely rude, barely gave me the time to explain what the situation was, said it was my problem not hers. End of phone call. Thanks a lot.

I called him a few days ago to ask a simple question and the clerk who answered the phone did not even let me finish the question, he took me by the phone. I finally asked him with whom I had ‘pleasure’ and he replied “what interests you ?!”.
If you call late in the evening, someone will probably answer the cleaners :) I am very kind but have no authority to help :(
I have the same question.Im in SC
Make it to the notary with the apostle. When it is translated, an apostille is added when you legalize the translation and it is valid in Romania! It is not worth the trouble. There are some unmitigated. So the consular service does not even offer Burkina Faso ...
AmericanEmbassy in Bucharest will have an interview with ea Romanian applying for a visitor viza. The USA staff will strive to prove that ea person applying for a visitor visa is not poor and it is not leaving Romania for that reason /poverty/ to come in USA and possibly remain beyond the legal status. That’s the reason they will ask about employment, assets, bank accounts. There are not set up requirments on the assets ir bank accounts to my knowledge.
Econsulat.ro
Sorry I do not know.
You have to use the online website https://econsulat.ro. they don't do anything without that site
To renew your passport through the consulate, you must make an appointment on Econsulat.ro and upload the necessary documents. When you show up at the consulate for an appointment, the consulate staff will give you and fill in the respective forms in your presence. I hope the information will be useful.
Hi Ioana. You can travel with a Travel Document, which is issued on the day of the appointment (in emergency situations and not only) which is valid for 30 days. In Ro, you can get your passport on the same day, for return. For renewal, it takes a few months. Visit site on line for more information.
http://washington.mae.ro/en. ON CONSULAR SERVICE'S
Go online at econsulat.ro and creat an account. After that, you can access the link for Acte Notariale, fill it out and submit it for review. Once is reviewd and you have all the papers in order, you will be allowed to schedule an appointment. They will give you the Power of Attorney that day.
Between Romania and Malaysia there is a regime of reciprocal viza exemption for it's own citizens, for a maximum of 90 days, for non-lucrative purposes. Check Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs web site ... www.mae.ro ... Also, you can check with Malaysian embassy and they will know for sure ...
On the website
It is best to call the embassy. They are very kind.
Damn. That's though. I guess from romania ir try to ask at the consulate in NYC. Go There.
1607 23rd St ME, Washington, DC There's no phone number you can talk to with someone at the embassy, now use your website to make all your requests and ask questions. I called the information and I answer those in Romania.
Hey what about phone numbers. He can't talk to you
