I have been a patient of Dr. Parrish for nearly 30 years. He has performed a total hip replacement, a revision of that hip when I wore it out. Then I dislocated it after my revision and broke my femur in the process. He repaired that, and then removed the hardware holding it together, years later. Without his experience and expertise, I would have been in a wheelchair long ago. I recommend him to anyone with knee and hip problems. In addition to that, he is a person whom I consider a friend. He always asks me about myself and offers friendly conversation during my visits.

Kindest surgeon who genuinely cares about his patients.

Dr. Parrish is a very personable, highly credentialed, experienced orthopedic surgeon. He did my right hip replacement when he was head of the orthopedic department at Hershey Medical Center 17 years ago and my left hip replacement 15 years ago when he opened his practice in Lancaster. He conducted very thorough exams and spent additional time chatting about a wide variety of topics. My first contact with Dr. Parrish was during a deposition (I'm a court reporter) when he testified on behalf of a patient for whom he repaired a disastrous hip replacement performed by a different physician. He advocated professionally on behalf of his patient and I decided on the spot that he would be my orthopedic surgeon of choice. Prior to meeting Dr. Parrish at the deposition I had been diagnosed with avascular necrosis in my right hip and had been to 3 prior orthopods, including an expert second opinion by a physician in Philly, none of whom recognized that I had had a fracture of that hip joint 2 years prior to my first appointment with Dr. Parrish. When Dr. Parrish placed my older x-rays next to his current x-rays, he asked me if I had been in considerable pain and unable to ambulate during the time of the diagnosed AVN and initial x-rays and then improved somewhat in about 3 months. I confirmed that that was indeed the case and that for awhile I needed a cane to ambulate - which was confusing to me, as AVN is a degenerative condition, not something that "improves.' He then pointed out a complete fracture across neck of the femur on the older x-rays. It was so obvious that I could easily see it as well. How 3 prior docs had missed it at the time the fracture occurred and AVN was diagnosed) I find alarming. I highly recommend Dr. Parrish as both a skilled professional and a personable, caring and engaging human being.

This is the MOST rude & unprofessional “doctor” I have ever experienced! Do yourself a favor & find a doctor that actual cares about their patients!
