I have had many experiences with Dr. Westphal and his team and have had nothing but great results ranging from minor surgeries to total knee replacement. This last visit was as professional and smooth as all the visits in the past. I would never hesitate to refer anyone to this practice!!

I am not able to answer your question because I am a non-smoker, and I am beginning my Westphal Orthopedics appointment, as a very good referral from Hershey Orthopedics and Spine Rehabilitation, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, having had some visits to Orthopedics Associates, and transferring to Westphal Orthopedics to actually have my hip replacement surgery.

What is the metal that your hip replacements are made of?

Westphal Orthopedics | Oct 29, 2018

To answer this question, we would need to know more about the patient. Different metals are used for different patients depending on age, medical history, allergies, etc. Typically they are made of titanium aluminum alloys, tantalum, cobalt or chrome. Again, this is all dependent on the patient that it is being implanted in. If you have specific questions, we suggest that you schedule an appointment to discuss in detail with one of our surgeons.
