You need to call city of Houston housing authority if you are homeless I suggest going to hope impacts in spring branch it's a process to get in and they can give you the answers you need and provide assistance

.. the lady told me that I had to just come down there and fill out an application.. from what I understand though, that's not a universal housing authority it's only for that complex.. if you looking to move somewhere cheap and respectable I would suggest Falls of Alta Vista..

Available housing options can be found on the HCHA website. You will need ur voucher to know what ur allowane will be. You want to start the port process 4 months before ur lease expires. Callthe HCHA office to see if they are accepting Ports. A lot of social service agencies have had their budgets slashed this past year.

HCHA conducts annual inspections and if an apartment fails inspections or there are safety concerns brought to HCHA or if utilities are noted to be off by property managers....to name a few ~ Call ur Housing Authority for more concerns.

No, but I've been trying to get in contact with my Case worker 3+ weeks. My unit fell 2x on the owner part. They said that I have to repair a hold in the restroom that a worker did. So I did still no moving package and they are adding 100.00 for something they don't do and 66.00 a month on the rent. They have new owners and have not fixed anything unless they can be sued for like the floor had collapsed by the front door both bathrooms. They said that Texas doesn't require them to have AC to my unit during the heat wave. I've been sending emails almost every day and calling. I'm sick and can't really get out of bed. I have 2 son's up in age but still in high school, my son that turned 18 got robbed and they took his SS card and school ID and we are having a hard time replacing it to get his State ID. Wanna go to a trade school..

There is 2 Housing Authority one which is Houston Housing Authority that do the Houston surrounding area they location is on Fountain View. Harris County Housing Authority is on Husslin Street.

They normally send u something in mail to let you know to come to orientation at that point they will give u voucher an give u like 2 months to find somthing its a process just make sure u stay on top of them.

they are holding briefings every 2 weeks in order to mamage their regular case loads and then they will start to widdle down the wait list. It's hard when ur funding keeps getting cut.
