I don't recommend RPOA. We had money invested with them for several years and recently moved our money out. I calculate they made more in commissions than they made for us.

We have known Doug Dyer for years now. We appreciate so much his willingness to hear our goals and concerns. He genuinely cares about his clients and is always available. We can't recommend him enough. We have total faith and trust in him.

I don't do reviews but RPOA sent an email and requested a review. I got with Money Matters after the stock market fall of 2007/2008. This is the the market event that RPOA constantly promotes as an example of their investment strategy success; selling on the downturn and buying back in at the low point. The rest of the time the investment strategy is to follow the the market through their own mutual index fund. In my 14 years with RPOA there has been annual gains related directly to the gains of the primary markets; Dow Jones or the S&P 500. When RPOA has initiated a market drop sell off, which they have done a few times, they bought back in ta a higher price than the sell price. The market recovered but the sell/buy back strategy cost me investment return. In 2020 RPOA followed the same strategy with the market drop in March, 2020. I was cheering the sell off but waited and watched with concern when the market recovered but RPOA did not reenter the market until it had fully recovered and then some. The Dow Jones ended up with a 20+% annual growth while RPOA clients ended up with loss for the year. Their advertising does not mention the 2020 performance. To their credit they changed their strategy of sell /' buy back to reenter the market sooner. This new strategy has not been tested as of 11-24-21. Time will tell if my portfolio value loss of last year is ever recovered through this new program. Hopefully it results in the sell high - buy low sequence of transaction. Since 2008 their investment strategy has not outperformed the general market. If I am incorrect they will respond. The RPOA folks are nice and my rep calls me twice a year to tell me all is good. Ultimately, we as clients, are responsible for our investment decision. RPOA is an option for investors who do not have the time nor inclination to actively manage their own portfolio and accepting of the RPOA monthly management fees.

Questions & Answers

I turn 66 next month. I have seen hundreds of newsletter and mail teasers about leaving up to 23K on the table and more if you file incorrectly. What am I missing? My wife turns 63 in December. Thinking about taking hers early due to health issues.
