If officer Dustin Starks’ behavior is indicative of this department, there needs to be a serious re-evaluation of how the law enforcement in this town “serves” its community. My mom was pulled over for going 72 in a 70, and was grilled for almost 30 minutes, about what brought her to Texas (we’re from out of state). I think it’s natural to show signs of nervousness when in a circumstance like this, but the kindly officer took this behavior as suspect, and asked her to exit her car, on a busy highway mind you. Her apprehension to exit the car, was met with questions like “why are you so emotional?” and “Do you always get so emotional when you’re ‘doing nothing wrong’?’” When she insisted on knowing why she was getting interrogated so intensely for such a minor offense, the officer informed her that he was “done being nice,” and told her to “shut her mouth,” and matched that with a hand clenching gesture in front of her face. If your job is to protect and serve, but you find yourself asking somebody “why are you so scared?” repeatedly, and aren’t happy with the answer provided, it’s because they’re afraid of you, and not because they’re trying to hide any wrong doing.

Twice during the last year I called because of personal crisis. They were the most outstanding and understanding people, regardless of being law enforcement I have ever encountered. Maybe the bad reviews come from those who don't want to accept their responsibility. Great cops, totally respectful and very caring. Don't bash them because they did their job, when you were making a screw up.

Do not call or do business when officer Kelly is working at the window… seems like his first thing to do is put u on hold in hopes u will hang up after waitin (regular occurrence) and if u go in he won’t even say hi before determining if he wants to help you… this guy hates his job apparently…

So apparently there is no law enforcement in Lantana because it is an unincorporated area located between cities and towns. Called the Sheriff's department for a noise complaint and they said they can't do anything because it's not a city! So, mayhem just rules Lantana. Lived in an unincorporated area prior to moving here and all laws still applied. Not sure what all my property taxes are paying for because it isn't to fund the Sheriff's department.

you can contact the district attorney's office,
yes, you could. just call the denton police department to follow-up. you would also need to go to the courthouse to file an emergency removal,
There is no face to face visitation. Securus is the visitation video visitation. You must set up an appointment 24 hours in advance.

Yes the inmate has to have $5 on the money books. The money will not be used but there has to be showing on the books.
