very strange shop, rancid vibes. claims to be trans, queer, and gender non-conforming friendly but misgendered by friend AT LEAST 20 times in 5 mins. staff was super condescending and rude to my friend, and insisted on ppintlessly checking that THEIR bike which they literally bought and built themselves was, compatible with 700cc wheels. would not come back again. worst experience I have ever had with a bike shop. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE TRANS, ENBY, OR GNC THEY ARE NOT A SAFE SPACE FOR YOU

This place is a Godsend to the neighborhood! I came in and even though there was a mixup with the dates Tibby was so kind and able to squeeze me in and teach me how to install my 16" tire and tube on my double stroller. I also got a used bike tire here for an amazing price. Thank you Recyclery team! You guys are the best!

Amazing spot to have in chicago! I bought a bike from them which is my all- around bike: It was a great deal on a high quality bike converted to something more comfortable for me. They do so much good for many communities on the north side! Buy a bike, fix your bike, donate, support them in any you're able.

Appreciate how community minded they are. Knowledgeable and polite.

Greetings. To purchase parts, please come to our Open Shop program, currently Sundays 10-2 pm. To purchase refurbished bicycles, come to our in-person Bike Sale, currently Wednesdays 6-8 pm, or shop online at therecyclery.bigcarte.com and then schedule an appointment to pick up your bike.
We have a wide variety of bikes available. We currently have several 5 speeds. I encourage you to come in on a Saturday 10am-12pm to talk with our sales crew!
Nope. We accept donations but dont buy bikes or parts
As the host of Thurs Open Shop, I don't really know anything about engines. We're more ready to address wheels or structural issues. We got tools and can birddog other issues.
