Yes it is. Community garden and all. Even the nature center is free although not as big as the little red school house, it's still big enough for little ones to explore. The only thing u would have to pay for is a boat/kayak during spring/summer if you wanted to go on the lake. Other than that it's free of charge.

There is no fishing allowed in Lake Catherine however there is a fishing spot under the bridge where I see everyone fishing Which is just a few steps away from Lake Catherine

The Call Sag trail runs right alongside. You can bike about 10 -12 miles along this paved trail. Very safe and pretty, not very crowded
