To begin with, there is overall lack of professionalism by employees. Especially since people in the waiting room can see everything that they are doing. Disrespectful, inmature and inappropriate conversations are not good look, especially in a medical facility. It's apparent that HR hires mostly individuals who graduated at very bottom of the program they attended. Its onvious when you have to interact with one of the scheduling agents. It's like having a conversation a crabby five year old who needs a nap. I'm based this review from Devon location while sitting in a filthy waiting area and watching several of the desk employes shove chips in their mouths and then lick their fingers. After over 90 minutes of waiting to see Dr Curtis and being disgusted by the front desk ladies, I had to get out of there. Take the advice of a retired nurse of over 20 years. Run in the opposite direction of this facility.

Heartland Health has some serious communication issues with patients. Today I took my two kids in for their appointments only to find out that they been canceled *NOT BY US* last week. We never received any communication about the canceled appointments. The person at the Devon location blamed the Lake View location for the cancellation and lack of communication. But don’t you think HH Devon should make sure their patients are aware of the cancellation? It’s becoming more and more apparent that either Heartland Health does not care about providing quality services to their patients, or are just too disorganized/incompetent to do so.

I have been going to Heartland Health Centers on Devon for 6 years now and have been under the care of Dr. Sarah Johnson ever since. Dr. Johnson is amazing. She is always thorough, compassionate and patient. I have always felt listened to as well as that I am getting great care. My only complaint is the hold times as of late. I know that COVID is making everything harder on everyone, but on multiple occasions I have been kept on hold for 30 to 45 minutes at a time. And sometimes the answering service just hangs up on you. When you finally get into the building as well things have improved greatly. My first view visits in the beginning the front of house staff was indifferent and seemed more interested in socializing than anything else. But recently it is more precise and well organized, so that is a welcome change. Always tidy, and I feel like I continue to get great care from them. 2022 Update : Still subpar phone communications. Was sixth caller waiting to discuss a prescription I am needing. Hit option for call back option. Twenty minutes later they call back of course when I am doing dishes, the phone rings TWICE before they hang up. I couldn't get my hands dry and turn around to the counter fast enough to answer. Called back. Still 6th in line and the callback option is now no longer working.

I need a prescription filled for a TIME SENSITIVE MEDICATION and they literally DO NOT care. A healthcare center with zero compassion. So if you want to WORSEN your health then this is the place for you. I will be reporting this location to the Illinois Department of Public Health and switching PCP’s asap since this is the SECOND TIME. I left a review for a previous incident and was told a manager would reach out, that never happened, they just replied with that to try and save their image. TO CLARIFY: this review is for a new incident that happened on 08/01/2022
