My mom was admitted here over a year ago, from October 7 to October 22, 2021. I just wanted to stop by and say thank you to Dr. Patel and Nurse Ann and PCT Ann in the ER (in case any are still working at this facility). We met them last year when my mom was near death due to massive sacral wounds. There were others who contributed to saving my mom's life including one nurse who didn't follow protocol - thank God - and performed essential duties that were NOT her "job" to do so. Mama Sheila has been living with me since February and we are grateful to Dr. Patel for getting my mom admitted before insurance was discussed and the Anns ☝️. Also, happy belated birthday to Eunice. I meant to post this two weeks ago - her birthday is the same as Mama Sheila's and if I recall correctly, her daughter has the same birthday too.

My son was brought here by ambulance (RSV + Covid) and the very best thing they did was get us transferred out to a children's hospital. While everyone was very nice they really had no idea what they were doing with a sick kid as young as my son, but they also let me know that they were out of their area of expertise which I appreciated.

No. But the parking lot is across The street with a walk bridge.
Huh?
There's some urgent care clinic on the NW corner of the hospital called PrimeCare Portage Park. I don't know if they're affiliated with the hospital but they send people there for follow ups on stuff from the emergency room. You can check with your insurance see if they reccomend a place for when you can't get an appointment with your doctor soon enough. Otherwise if you really need to you can go to the emergency room just expect to wait all day.
I found them to have very fine doctors. You should probably go to the ER.
Ask your doctor for a referral to some place. Probably not this is a really bare bones community hospital. They do have some outpatient physical therapy and random doctors offices there though.
Yes
Call their radiology department and ask
9:00 am - 9:00 pm. Per patient's request.
After Northwest Hospital, for a brief time (1-2 yrs) it was renamed John F. Kennedy Memorual Hospital, but kept same people in charge so nothing changed. Poor everything Finally sold to the nuns who cleaned house, put new administrators and equipment in place and became Our Lady of Resurrection (OLR). When Resurrection medical facilities were eventually sold to Prentice, Prentice didn't want OLR but it was part of the sale and they had to. Prentice immed. put OLD up for sale. Eventually became Community Fitst.
9:00 pm.
no, it's privately owned and independent at this time.
Personally speaking ,I was treated bad and left crying for hour during my full 2week stay after having two emergency surgeries 3days apart from each other.the C.N.A.s didn't do their job if I did half the stuff they did and or didn't do,I would be fired.I know this because I am one and I'm 55 yrs.old.I would live to go into details over hell they put me through .even put me in an old beat up room that stored chairs etc.freezing cold with a cracked window and no heat.
Yes
If you call the main number and ask for medical records, they can guide you on what you need to fill out to get copies of your results.
No
Our Lady of Resurrection
I don't remember what year it was but when it was JFK 70 percent of the people that came to emergency room died. After that it was called Our Lady of The Resurrection and people weren't dropping like fly's anymore and now it is called 1st community hospital and people are still walking out so I guess it ain't so bad.
And
