From the website they are open, so far no mention of closure since it starts at 6pm. Click the link or call if there is any delay due to weather later

There bridges that crossover the water in a few spots. Some overlooks as well. It's really quite beautiful. You definitely don't feel like your in Fort Worth anymore. LOL

Fall colors are very unreliable in Texas. If there is fall color change it is usually late October.
No. While the main Botanic Gardens are free, the Japanese gardens are an extra cost.
Well worth the admission though
Edit: Japanese gardens are now bundled with the main Botanic Gardens for a bundle price of $12
Actually, they typically sell bags of fish food with the tickets, so I think you can add it on when purchasing your ticket. Others are correct that there are machines that only take quarters throughout the garden.
The question is for the Japanese Garden at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It is a section of the gardens and not a restaurant. I know they have specialist available at times and am trying to find out from them when their bonsai specialist might be available.
You should visit and take pictures. Then it would help if you explore your creative side and make a rudimentary sketch of your concept. Then take your idea to a professional. Local garden centers are helpful, sometimes Lowe's. Do some research. Take care, enjoy!
