This place is absurd. I tried this place because of the ratings. The staff seem to really love animals, but the doctor is rude. My take away from the two times I took my dog here was that everything I've been doing to take care of my dog is wrong. Wrong food, wrong heart worm prevention (they have their own brand that they want to push on you without explaining why it's better, just that it is), wrong allergy medications (tried to push something on me that I've tried before with no results, and the doctor didn't believe me when I told him that). Everything is wrong. I called to get his medical records. They said they would send me his vaccination records, but I wanted everything. They asked why ("are you going to a new office?"), and I confirmed I was going to a new veterinarian. They then tried to tell me that they couldn't give me his complete medical file, and that the new vet office would have to call for the records. For a dog. That I own. I asked them why they couldn't give me his complete file because I own him. He is my property. I was transferred to a different person, who did email me his files and then hung up the phone while I was in the middle of saying thank you. I'm glad other people have had better experiences here, but unfortunately, I was not one of them.

The lack of empathy and active listening is astonishing here. Each patient and situation I feel should be treated organicly, this was not the case at the appointment I went to at this Veterinarian hospital. The Dr never even went over the treatments I was interested in for my dog? That I ask about verbally to him and also when I made the appointment. It felt like a machine in that office they offered everything other that what asked for. I felt belittled and frankly ignored. Very disheartening and stressful experience. Needless to say we will not go back.

If you have any animal that needs vet care, this is the place to be. I absolutely love this guy! I have taken my bearded dragon in twice now and they really are educated on bearded dragons! I had taken her to a different vet before I heard about this place and that lady was asking me questions about caring for beardies.....Anyway, they were able to diagnose and treat her for an upper respiratory infection and the cost was unbelievably low, I'm on a budget and even I can afford it. I highly recommend Ridglea West for all your pet babies.
