Adopted an amazing chihuahua puppy from here. Great facility you can tell they care about each and every one of their rescues. MUCH better than all the city shelters of Dallas/FTW. They had an abundance of small dog breeds which can be hard to find at shelters.

This place is so sad. Smells. Requires an appointment to view 60 dogs. They will be dead soon. Sad. Sad.

They had my missing cat and I found him on their website and brought him back home that same day. Awesome place. If you're in the area and are looking to adopt a pet, go there. They have many to choose from.

I was trying to turn in a dog I didn't want to take it to the dog pound so I thought a shelter would be better so I called this place left a message but they never called me back

They probably will. What color is she?

That's correct the information will be on there website or you can do a walk in
We treat all animals in our care with kindness. If the dog is over 15 weeks old, it will be housed in our general population (after receiving vaccines) and go out in the yards with other comparable sized dogs four times a day. If it is under 15 weeks old, it has to be housed in our puppy isolation area, where they interact with us but do not get to go outside. That being said, we are usually full and our kennel availability depends on size of the dog, among other factors.
Our adoption fee for dogs is usually $250.
You might call and ask. Generally they rescue dogs from kill shelters and rehab special needs dogs, but they may take in dogs needing re-homed.
My daughters and I are volunteers there. There is a $50 annual fee (you get a t shirt out of that), and the volunteer guidelines are this: Monday through Friday during business hours, 2 hours at a time. If you're under 12, you have to have an adult (parent/guardian, etc) with you. They have a list of things they need volunteers to do, and you start at the top of the list and work your way down to get whatever you can get done in your two hours. They're easy going and very welcoming of volunteers, and sign up is easy! Just go in during business hours to fill out paperwork. 😀 Hope this helps!
Can u keep it? Yes, u can take it to Animal Hope
I'd recommend giving the rescue center a call. They do have a limited number of puppies and I'm sure they'd be happy to let you know if they have what you're looking for.
Is it a brown puppy?
Yes, they have a nonprofit called animal hope.
Mee too tryingto find these adorable babies a nice home, I think the mother of these kittens may have abandoned them or their just rambunctious little kitties that just dont want go back to where they cam from ughhhh!! Their so cute
Have you tried reaching out to your local humane society to see if they have any fosters available?
Try the humane society if they don't have space they may be able to reference someone
We only take surrenders when we have space. We do not currently have space
It depends on the animal. For the most part it is $300 for adult dogs and $400 for puppies. Breeds that have a lot of adoption interest can be higher and most of the medium and larger dogs lower.
If someone brings us a stray animal and we have space to take it in, we generally check it in as a remote impound at the city shelter where it was found. Checking an animal into the city shelter is the best way to get the animal back home
Yes, you can see the available dogs on the website, animalhope.org, and click on available for adoption. Then you can call or email the names of the animals you are interested in and set an appointment.
No, just cats and dogs. Try fort worth animal care and control or pet stores.
Amethyst is a medium/large breed puppy currently 5 months old
We are open but doing meet and greets by appointment. If we do not answer we are either on the other line or taking care of the animals in the back
Generally, if someone is surrendering a cat we would require a surrender donation
We can scan it for a chip. Depending on size, we may be able to keep it for stray hold.
Can a 15 year old volunteer at your animal shelter?
It would depend on the size of the dog
No. Those types of dogs are not common in shelters. All our available dogs are posted on our website.
We are two old people who love cats. Our 7 year old just died from kidney. Failure. Does anyone have an older cat that. Needs our love?
Yes
Our standard adoption donation is $300. The donation amount can be higher, depending upon adoption demand for individual dogs. If you were given an incorrect donation amount, we apologize for the confusion.
We would be open to hiring 16 year olds.
You would have to check their website for most of that information
Probably not. Mostly cats & dogs. I'd check with a reptile store to find a better place for it. Or try selling it on FB or Next door website.
Yes and of they can't take the dog they will help find a place. They usually take pets that people have given up on.
Our general adoption fee for adult dogs is $250. Our general adoption fee for puppies is $350. This includes (in most cases) 4 veterinary appointments after the adoption to finish their vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, intestinal parasite screen, flea and heartworm preventative, and a follow up exam 7-10 days after the adoption. The adoption fee can vary somewhat upwards from there depending on adoption demand.
It depends on the size of the dogs and our kennel space available / nursery and maternity space available. Our primary mission focuses on at risk animals at other shelters but we can sometimes take surrenders if we have space.
Our shelter management software updates our website automatically every day.
We treated her for parvo. How much does the vet you work for charge for two weeks of intensive hospitalization for parvo? Probably more than $800. Because our mission focuses on medical rehabilitation our medical costs are significantly higher than other shelters. As a result, our average adoption fee is higher than other shelters. You are looking to adopt a healthy purebred dog under a year old that breeders sell for $1,500 or more. Because these dogs are rare in shelters, demand for them is high. We have made a policy decision to adopt these types of dogs out at “market” rates, which helps us make up our medical costs, discourages “dog flippers” from adopting our dogs and selling them on Craigslist, and helps us pay for medical costs on dogs that can’t command a very high adoption fee (chihuahuas, pits, senior dogs, for instance). We do have many dogs just as good (or better) than Piglet with lower adoption fees. Further, we thought Piglet was a cute name.
I have Never surrendered a pet, But am sure glad someone gave up Teddy last Oct. as we are Happy to have found him.
The animals there change frequently. Take a look at their website.
I believe they take last chance animals from the pound
I would call I'm pretty sure what they have is always changing
Our cat adoption fee is usually $100. When a cat has been with us a long time (like this cat Indy, who has been with us almost a year https://www.petfinder.com/cat/indy-42641061/tx/fort-worth/animal-hope-tx2033/) you can name your own adoption fee. We are also usually flexible on adult tabbies, as well.
Please call us at 817-984-1129.

Hi. Animal hope is a great company that does a very good job for those animals that would be otherwise terminated. I highly recommend going through them to adopt. It does a good service for the animal and the business. They feed all their animals high quality food . I surrendered a cat of mine to them cause i had too many pets for my apt. My cat was adopted three weeks later. I went to animal hope after the adoption to visit the facility and was impressed with the work they do. I gave some of income tax to them that day. It wasn't the facility that i was all that impressed with, it's the hearts of the people that have given these animals a second chance for a forever home.
