The grounds are beautiful, however: the cabins definitely need some TLC. First time staying in Tranquility cabin and was disappointed in the cabins condition. Love this place, but agree with others that some slight updates inside of units are needed.

We stayed at the Honeymoon cabin. It had everything we needed. But it's outdated, had some old smell, needed maintenance. Outdoors is simply breathtaking, so we didn't really care if the cabin was not up to our desire. It was just ok.

We stayed at Serenity. Very nice, beautiful big cabin, along the creek. 5 bedrooms, 4 baths and laundry rm. 3 smaller, two larger bedrooms overlooking the creek. The upstairs bedroom, overlooking the stream, is huge and has an large closet with two twins; great set up for people with kids they want to keep close. The 5th is very large, with large a bathroom, in the back of the house. Porch is nice with access to the creek and includes a BBQ grill. The kitchen has a large side by side refrigerator/freezer, but the ice maker doesn't work. Nice quiet dishwasher and a microwave. The kitchen is a bit small and awkward to work around if you have more than a couple people helping. The fridge opens to counter and blocks the rest of the kitchen from anyone getting in or out, but nothing you can't work around. Nice large table right off the kitchen, seats 6 to 8 people. There is another game table that could seat 4-5 but no extra chairs, that we could find. Possibly could request from office. We didn't ask. We were able to work around this by eating outside, sofa, etc. Only complaints, for such a large home, which generally means large groups of people, it was not very well stocked on glasses, plates, etc. Very few knives for working in kitchen for cutting, chopping, etc. Highly recommend you call ahead to see if they will stock with extra large pots, pans, knives and plates, etc. Or, bring paper plates, cups, necessary pans with you. Also, do not leave food, i.e. chip bags open on kitchen counter over night. Evidence of roach poop in AM! Our bad! Great trails nearby to walk along creek or into the forest. Bring a fishing pole to fish off the creek or surrounding areas. We were there during high fire season so unfortunately couldn't build fire when got cold in the evening. But nice to know it's there if we come back not during fire season.

I've been visiting Greer since I was old enough to hold a fishing pole, and it still hasn't lost its charm, beauty and tranquility. For our most recent visit, we stayed at the Red Setter in the Serenity cabin. Serenity provided the best accommodations that I've had the pleasure to enjoy during any of my stays in Greer. The cabin was spacious, clean and absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The large windows allowed us to enjoy the periodic snow falling through the trees overlooking the river. The cabin had more than enough room for the 12 of us. Since we all ate all of our meals at the cabin, I particularly enjoyed the kitchen. The refrigerator was enormous. There were plenty of dishes for all of us. And the kitchen was stocked with ALL of the cookware that I have at home. It's all the little things that the Red Setter pays close attention to that made our stay amazing. We'll definitely be coming back!
