Hiked in from the pass as kid. Cabin didn't even have a door on it yet. It was beautiful scenery then and only better now I'd imagine.

Very scenic hike. Not much elevation gain since started at Sherman Pass. Not many wildflowers compared to hiking Sherman Peak Loop in July. In July wild flowers were amazing. Strongly recommend this hike.

Are you asking when the snow melts? I would think that's up to mother nature. Snow has a tendency to stick around up there.
The available water is from a spring, not a creek. When we were there on a day hike, we did not see or look for the spring. I just posted a picture of the inside of Snow Peak cabin. Look for it in Colville National Forest in Google Maps. You can see what cookware and dishes and etc. are in the cabin. This should help with your question.
