0.9 miles to the east and 4 miles to the west is dirt road. The climb up to the park is somewhat of a challenge but I was able to negotiate it well enough with a small car. Snakes, coyotes, and bears supposedly are here but I can only confirm hearing the howling of coyotes. Bring mouse traps/glue/poison. Walmart is 7 miles. Moriarty is 8 miles. During Covid-19, Edgewood's tap water seems as if it had bleach in it. Moriarty's tap water is fine. Upon my arrival, one person has been here for a month, and another for 2 weeks. I stayed 3.5 weeks. No trash dumpsters.

Free camping is so hard to find but Torrance County Park has nailed it! There might not be any facilities, but it's a beautiful piece of land designed for the "off the beaten path" type of people. Not only can you find a spot without problem, it's free, accommodates big and small rigs, allows our furry friends and has the most gorgeous star gazing, far from lights! I wish more counties offered places like this. You can even take your ATV's and enjoy riding the paths. Highly recommended for the adventure traveler or low key camper alike.

Roads are not big RV friendly, but it is a nice quiet place away from the freeway to (BD) overnight.

Nice enough park, went with one of my daughters to check it out. She spotted a little stone building right inside the entrance. We went to look at it and found an old out house. 2 rooms, 2 holes in each bench. North side was ok, south room was about half full of branches and a piece of carpet. Kinda of creepy. The park itself was a nice little drive. Some areas of the road were washed out and rutted from running water, but nothing too serious.
