Our dryer broke down on a Friday night. We looked around online at local places and everybody was priced about the same. The issue was no one had stock in store. Even places with a showroom, we were told we wouldn't be able to buy and load the appliance same day. This was an issue because we do a lot of laundry at our house. We had purchased from Elders Appliance in the past so Saturday morning we stopped in to look and see what they had in store. We were helped right away. Asked what we were looking for and told the best deal within 5 minutes! We made sure to ask if we could take it home same day. (Absolutely) We found exactly what we were looking for: gas front load large capacity dryer manufactured in the USA. The cost was about 65% less than the other places we looked at. And it was brand new - not even from the scratch and dent section either! Our salesman was old school, and I appreciate a straight shooter. He was friendly and knowledgeable. His name is Rick. The amount we were planning on spending elsewhere also got us a chest freezer here. We walked out with twice as much for the same price. Our dryer was home and hooked up and drying our clothes the same day. The whole experience at the store was about half an hour. Rick was truly great at pinpointing our needs. He even had the door reversed for us so it opened from right to left instead of left to right. Next time we need an appliance we'll be back.

our dishwasher broke. We wanted to fix it and scheduled a service visit through Decker and Sons. Never used them before and decided to give them a try. They never showed up for the service call... No phone call or anything. Total waste of our time and shows how they feel about their customers. Tried to schedule a repair through another service company and no call back. So.... we decide to look at new dishwashers. Decided to stop at Elders (1st time shoppers there) and are glad we did. Stopped in and picked out a dishwasher. Luke showed up to install it. The tub didn't fit right and Luke said he couldn't in good conscience install it that way and leave it. We pick out a 2nd one and are advised that it would fit. It was unfortunate the first one didn't fit and the Luke had to come back for a 2nd visit but Elders & Luke made the process simple and worked with us. We were very impressed with Luke, his professionalism and concern for doing the right thing for the customer. So Decker & Sons blowing us off helped us find a company with great customer service. **Updated to 2 stars. We had all kinds of problems with our dishwasher. While not all of this was Elders issue, the support received was underwhelming. 4 months of fighting for what's right with GE was basically left up to me. Finally got GE to buy back the unit only after filing a complaint with the BBB and threatening to go to local news.**
