Went here on a Sunday night for dinner. The place was very empty but we had also reached really late, so might be busy at other times. We ordered the Vietnamese crepe, crispy egg noodles, combo rice bowl with orange chicken and kung pao chicken, house special fried rice. The crepe and the fried noodles were Vietnamese specialties and different options that we had not tasted before. The crepe was crispy and filled and was to be eaten with leafy lettuce like a wrap. For me the crepe was a bit oily. The fried noodles were nice and crispy but I would have liked more of the brown sauce. The seafood used is not premium quality, so it tasted okay. The orange chicken was good and so was the fried rice.

Good service and great food

Have been eating at Kim Son since they were in their original building in the late 1980's. Have attended many weddings held in the second floor ballroom as well, Kim Son has been a big part of my life in Houston for many decades. Therefore it was sad for me to visit two weeks ago and see how it has fallen. Friday around 12:00-1:00pm and the place was almost dead. Whether the Corona or the slowing economy or perhaps their astronomical prices and not nearly as attentive as it used to be service, the place (at least on this my first post-Corona visit) was simply not the same. On a brighter note the food was excellent and plentiful in quantity, which makes up for a lot, but still not a great visit and I am unlikely to return.

Yes. Dine in and Take Out
They are fully handicapped accessible. They even have an elevator to the second floor.
I think the entire second floor, I went to an event there once. There is even a stage and PA system.
No buffet but quiet family dinning. Great food reasonably priced and can accommodate large family or business banquets
idk maybe 5 or 6 miles
The 2 Kim Sons in downtown plus the one on 59 south in Sugarland are not buffets. Full service restaurants
Figure about 20 dollars per person
While great for Vietnamese, this is not "the" place for dim sum. Try Fung's Kitchen or Ocean Palace. Both offer cart service on weekends and menu service dim sum on weekdays.
It costs $ 9.00 the buffet and if you have attention in Spanish .... I recommend it in food a lot of variety
No buffet that I know of.. They have a happy hour, but food is a better deal from the regular menu.. Delicious food though, hard to beat!!
Googlr it on YouTube, they have similar recipes
