My toy poodle was the biggest love in my life and passed at 17 years old. I started looking for a dog and went to the Safe Pet Rescue on A1A. What a bad experience all they cared about was giving a dog to someone that can stay home all day and with this inflation who can afford it? Not to mention if you go to Shot Vet they won't even consider you to adopt a dog! That's ok because it's there loss, I adopted my dog from a friend and he was free.

Safe pet rescue is fantastic! Our family has been fortunate enough to find fur babies that have changed our lives forever. The staff is caring and compassionate. The facility is clean and you can tell everyone is working as a labor of love. Their are volunteers who are walkers and some just sit and hold the dogs. Katherine and Robin are dedicated to the animals and are fantastic working with the public.

These people at 6101 A1A S are totally awesome people,full of compassion! I went with my adult daughter to look for a dog for herself, but when I heard the story of this aging beauty Copper, I just had to bring her home and she fits right in with rest of the gang. I don't work there but adopted a dog last week. It was $200 for a young dog. I believe senior dogs are cheaper.

North of st. Rd 206 a mile or less. If you go please consider Manny, real name since he was a pup is lil Man, he is prob lab mixed with what i am sure is green eyed liver nosed rodesian ridgeback. Had to return due to health, super sweet, would lick and sleep with cat.
