Would give a ZERO star if it allowed me to still write a review. The owner cancelled our booking while we were on our way to their property. Said that Expedia double booked us whereas we were sent a confirmation from the owner about the reservation since we booked directly. Never used Expedia. So we were left with struggling to get a hotel for a Friday night in the first week if August (peak season and getting a room is next to impossible, forget about getting two rooms). We were a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids, the youngest being 2). Since we weren't able to get any reservations anywhere else, we had booked them for out last night in Acadia too. Luckily that was not cancelled but how I wish it was. This place is a complete dump. They gave us a jr: suite saying it will easily accommodate 8. Obviously, it didnt. They had a futon which would not open to make a bed. When someone from housekeeping came to help, the futon broke. The water in the bathroom was cold. The room smelled funny. The hotel looked run down. These are just a few things. I have many many more issues but guess this should give an idea of what you are getting into if you do book here. Please find somewhere else to stay. Please

Worst experience ever! The room was nothing like the pictures posted, it was in a bad shape. The beads creaked, the AC made a huge noise, the pipes made noises all night long. We complained and the staff initially promised a new room for the next night. They did not keep that promise. They next promised that they would ask housekeeping to at least re-setup our original room. We came back to find out that they hadn’t even done that. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Our neighbors had problems with the keys to their room and the staff wasn’t available and their call kept on going to the voice mail. They waited for hours till late in the night. This place ruined our experience of Bar Habor and Acadia😡

The place wasn’t very clean and quite dysfunctional. Every single person who worked there had a cigarette hanging from their mouth at all times, even while cleaning. The guy who checked us in had blood all over his hand and was touching everything. The floors were not carpeted, which was good, but they were dirty. Everything smells like cigarettes. The office hours are all over the place. There’s a really nice dog who works there, so that was a plus.

I really wanted to love it here. They are a small business and have clearly put some effort into recent remodeling. We arrived here after a few hours of driving snd the check in process was chaotic and disappointing. We opened our room to find two large dogs on the bed. They began barking and charged at us. The front desk worker was young (and very nice) and gave us the wrong key. No big deal but she mentioned it had happened other times that night to other people. The other staff that arrived to “help” were rude and impatient. Overall the room was clean with no frills. It’s a motel style setting so expect vehicle traffic, lights at night, and talking from neighbors outside your room at all hours.
