I’m doing the 2022 Maine Yarn Cruise and rating all the shops. This one has a vast selection, so if you need a particular fiber, you’re sure to find a match here. There are signs everywhere letting you know that even more stock is held out back, so it’s likely you’ll be able to find enough of any one dye lot for most projects easily. The shop also has a good selection of many other crafts, including painting, cross stitch, drawing, even a bit of felting. If you like lighthouses, check out the massive Maine lighthouse cross stitch section! The owner was friendly and pleasant and I’d say it was worth the trip.

LYS with eclectic mix of craft items and gifts, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice sock yarn collection. I spent sine time and money there, and plan to return. Check the website for hours, they vary seasonally.

What an absolutely hidden gem! This place has more than just yarn! It has a pretty extensive crafting section, paints, baking and cake making, as well as souvenirs. There's even fresh fudge, and a small candy section. The ladies behind the counter are an absolute treat! There's a bit of everything, absolutely worth a visit.

Great yarn selection including wool, washable wool for baby projects, sock wool, and synthetics. All kinds of knitting patterns and supplies, including my favorite bamboo needles. The owners are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful! Great toy selection for children, art and craft supplies, cake making supplies, and gifts. A great, locally owned business with a heart.
