The new owner is great, even though he is a Navy man (go Army) which is why I gave 4 stars. He really has a significant amount of work to do, but you can tell by his enthusiasm and drive that he is going to make this park a solid 5 in a few years. It is a good location and we were able to take a walk through Vinton from the park. I can’t understand the comments about feeling unsafe in this area. I am from this area and it truly hasn’t changed much in the 49 years since I moved north. I look forward to stopping in our next time driving I-10.

V RV Park is a great spot for an overnight stay. Most RVs are living there for an extended period. We were able to get a full hook up spot on a cement pad the day before arrival for a great price. There is a pool and a laundry area. Washer had piping hot water and the dryer dried our towels within minutes! There was propane to refill the camper if needed (did not inquire). Some of the buildings have seen brighter days.

Yes I stayed out there for a whole year and I seen people that brought up tents and they stayed out there and their tents and they're in the front so you have to talk to the people in the front office they're real nice people and a nice place to stay and quiet
