My family just moved to Hamilton and from going from a $300 Duke bill and a $200 water bill and $60 rumpke bill the $400 I pay for all three is way better Duke by himself is a rip off

I think more people need to realize that all your utilities are included in one bill. I haven’t been charged any more than I have been anywhere else for utilities. The customer service is decent and the online bill pay is simple.

WAY BETTER THAN DUKE. All you gotta do is keep your bill paid. Gas and electric are significantly cheaper than Duke energy. Awesome utility service.

No Hamilton Ohio is a common wealth county, Which means they don't take on all the rules and regulations for the state of Ohio They pretty much "can" set their own rates, regulations for utilities because they don't use state money for assistance Someone(s) with a whole lot of money, runs that city Research common wealth

Depends on your credit. And no you'll have to pay the entire deposit before they'll turn utilities on.

Is it illegal to shut off utilities with a minor in the house cuz I can't afford the deposit to have them switched to my name?

Drew Tiemann | Oct 27, 2018

Not unless the minor has major health issues that could result in hospitalization or death due to no power. Otherwise, welcome to Hamilton, home of the wallet jockeys and money grubbers. These people here could care less about us, they just want to line their pockets.
