We accept appliances (including refrigerators) and scrap metal at our Recycling Center. They must have all food and items removed prior to drop-off.
No. Electronics will have to go to an electronics recycling facility, like Cohen Recycling or Tri State Escrap. The only time we take in electronics is during the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, which is typically every November.
Yes, you have to be a Boone County resident. Check out your County's Public Works Department to see if they also take appliances.

There are two places in Boone County: Best Way's Boone County Transfer Station (1505 Resource Drive, Burlington, KY 41005) for around $13 and Bavarian Waste Landfill (12764 McCoys Fork Road, Walton, KY 41094) for around $10.
Once a month Boone County opens their waste center in Burlington, check on the date and plan on an hour waiting in line.
