My husband two kids and I booked this brunch cruise for a birthday celebration. My son and I were celebrating our birthdays. We were seated at a nice table by the window. Our waitress was very kind. We paid a significant amount extra for the “platinum open bar”. Upon inquiring what the platinum open bar included (because nowhere in the literature could we find what the platinum open bar actually was) our waitress pointed to the drink menu and said “anything on this menu” which was cocktails, sodas, bottles of wine etc. We ordered a bottle of wine and were told they no longer had it (along with many other bottles of wine). Finally we settled on a bottle that was not our ideal choice but it was fine. When it was time to leave we were told that actually the platinum open bar only included two drinks and souvenir champagne flutes. Needless to say we had to pay for the bottle of wine that we were told was included even though it was not. We never received our champagne flutes. I also mentioned that it was my birthday and my son‘s birthday. I was told that they were only allowed to give one piece of cake, not two. My son enjoyed his single piece of cheesecake about 20 minutes after arrived since they promised to light the candle. It took 20 minutes to return with a lighter to light the candle. We also received the buffet meal which was OK. Included with our extra fees we were “given” a shrimp cocktail. However when we received the shrimp cocktail we did not receive any additional silverware or napkins (which we had run out of after the Buffet meal)…So we had nothing to eat the shrimp with. The kids enjoy the dj music and dance floor. This is a cruise advertised as a lake Michigan cruise. In actuality, the boat leaves the dock and makes a very short trip directly in front of the dock (with beautiful views of the skyline I will admit) and returns to the dock. You Never really enter the lake itself. Otherwise the boat left much to be desired, much rust and missing paint on the exterior deck, the bathroom walls were literally held together with some sort of duct tape, only one sink in the bathroom is functional. Was it worth almost $700? NOPE…Do not book.

Yes. The boat is accessible to two decks. However the top deck is not accessible.
For the "extreme" you have to be a certain height but for the regular seadog you just have to be 3 or older.
I had a great time as well back in June. Service was great, good drinks & awesome DJ!
The prices Jeannia (below) listed are BEFORE taxes, so just be aware. I work at Seadog, btw.
Ok is Sunday cheaper for dinner
I don't think they can be on the cruise. If so I would of brought mine 🤗🤗
No
Each Captain has their own playlist/fav songs.
Hello John, the standard vegetarian options are very limited. I would recommend that you get in touch with them ahead of your visit so they can make appropriate arrangements. That way you and the hosts can both enjoy the experience the way it is meant to be!
Credit cards and cash only
Yes, under each seat. Children sizes are accessible from the crew.
Yes
Not sure, there are 3 levels. On the Sapphire deck maybe 50?
Took my kids 10 and 6 . They were allowed. Many more kids were there too...
Yes you can rent the boat out for special and private occasions.
The best way is to contact the Spirir of Chocago to see if they are offering any specials and it depends on if you are doing a afternoo.ln cruise or a night 1 and the day of the week
Yes you knowww it. You pay for what you ask for that's all!
Most are dressed casually stylish. The ship is presented like a cruise ship with lots of wood, carpeted stairs, marble and tile. Food is good, atmosphere festive. An upscale evening for two
It's better if you book a few days in advance. Especially on holidays.
Call the number on the website.
Day is cheaper than evening cruise and yes groupon is usually the cheaper option
Well, it depends on the cruise you select. The time, and any add ons that you select.
Yes, definitely you'd need a reservation. I've been on Mystic Blue couple of times. Great experience! There are multiple options for boat trips and celebration. Feel free to check all including Odyssey. You'll be happy with any of those options depending on final package and price. Enjoy your wedding dinner at the Chicago Navy Pier boats!
Ok I'm planning on bringing my girlfriend and son he will be five how much is dinner on a Tuesday
The dress code is dressy casual. No jeans or sneakers. Bring warm coats if you want to view skyline outside. Also sweater for inside. She will enjoy her special day.
It's for all ages. Games for children, and drinks and music for adults.
For our dinner cruise, they waited as late as possible to determine sailing because of high winds . They decided to cruise and we never felt any adversity. Rely on their judgment and you should be okay
The site says they run year-round from Navy Pier in Chicago
I was treated for mothers day and it might have been more costly since it was a holiday. But I think it was around $100.00
Far as I know yes kids are welcome to ring in the new year on the dinner cruise
There should be three, also I'm pretty sure you can ask them not to include black pepper in your dish. I went on the dinner cruise down the Chicago River. The staff are super friendly I would just ask when you get there.
No, the cruise ticket is sold as a package. Also drinks are served separately at the open bar.
To the best of my knowledge, yes they do.
No
They have different cruises at different times of day. It's best to check the website
Check Groupon for the $25.00 special.
If you can get a call into the dockside ticket office they could probably ship you one. Problem is they use a clearing house type ticket office and that is he main line you call into. Good luck!
5$ if remember correctly, 18$ for a margarita.
Not that I know and I don't recall reading about it either. However, the ride is more about the thrill and the views than the tour. You can enjoy it without the narrative. If you're looking for a tour with deep, historical info, do the river tour instead. The Sea Dog is more for thrills and fast rides! I have done both tours and I recommend both.
I believe so. Don't quote me on it but I would say call Navy Pier and tell them the situation with the tickets and then you can see where they go from there.
Prices vary by season and time of the day. Talk to them and see if you strike a deal.
What kind of tour?
Thank you very much for your answer have a good day greetings
I found mine on groupon I believe for $6 or $10 a person
It was a little bit of everything but were sending requests
We cruise all year long! (Weather conditions permitting, as mentioned above)
The music is not too loud and is conducive to dancing and dining. People are talking anyway.
Most people dress up. Women wear cocktail dresses & men wear slacks, button ups & blazers. I have also seen people wear jeans but it is fine dining so dresses for the occasion is the best.
Two, lunch and dinner. Lunch is about noon, dinner is at 5 p.m.
Call the Mystic Blue and they can help you with the setup and any accommodation and recommendation needed
People are dressed in all kinds of attire...wear something aligned with the weather and be ready to dance...dance ...dance...the DJ is awesome
Fairly close, I think you'll be happy.
Just Google Seadog and call the one eight eight eight number
$30.00 last year
Yes you can put them in the Lake but has nothing to do with seadog.
U eat they have DJ on each floor they take u in the middle of lake.
You can book online or call the reservation number. Prices vary from boat to boat.
The most offer for something free is a captain treat. Its a complimentary cupcake or lil treat along with card from the Spirit.
It can start about $150 including taxes and fees. Their really nice, buffet style meal service.
Not really let's just say they're competitively priced.... enjoy yourself
You really need to check their website because the answer depends on the number of ppl, time of day, etc
There really isn't a dress code. I would call it casual. I wore jeans and a dressier blouse. I wouldn't recommend torn/ripped jeans.
It's kinda weather permitting but mostly seasonal. They have cruises through Halloween and stop but they also have a NYE cruise as well.
