Called customer service for an issue and got hung up on immediately. Horrible service.

UPDATE: They took care of it the next day and have since contact us about a recompense. Original post: I am really upset. Call me irate customer. My gas was shut off today. Locked. For no reason. So I called Peoples Gas to make sure the automatic payments are being processed. They transferred me to emergency. A technician might be out here by 9pm. But if not, they will take care of it tomorrow. Meanwhile, my family of 5 doesn't get dinner and there was no hot water for the shower. What about breakfast tomorrow morning? And customer service doesn't credit accounts for the inconvenience and the error that Peoples Gas made. Seriously? Not even $100 bucks to order the dinner that I can't make.

All customer service representatives tell you different things, and they miss out on appointments and do t have anything resigstered

Absolutely horrendous service. They have no idea of timing, will make you take off work to ensure someone is there for them, then not show up at all. Afterwards, I was told they had no idea of when someone can come back and was expected to take off of work yet again. With no liability on their end or any type of discount for having to miss multiple days of work. Yet, I am also just forced to deal with it seeing as they essentially have a monopoly on natural gas in the Chicagoland area. Wish I could give negative stars.

Well, if it's any consolation, the company name is a fart joke! People's gas? No thank you, don't want!

You should wait till they arrive or call people's gas for confirmation.
No that's the corporate office they won't even come downstairs to see you. They will have a concierge give you a flyer of different locations you can go to so you can start service.
If your gas is turned off, because of the cold weather. Under the city law, they would have to have your service turned back on. But if you never had Service established in your name, you can call Peoples Gas and let them know that you like to have gas service at whatever address you live at.
Emailing address and zip code of what
