About a year ago, I wrote a review stating that each and every time I come to this Plato’s they have racks upon racks of size XS and S clothes but little to no size L and XL. They made a commitment to be better, but honestly it has gotten worse. If you are an average sized woman, DO NOT SHOP HERE! On top of everything, every time I try and sell here, I have to explain that I am selling mens and womens clothes. I feel like they look at me and see my clothes as “unstylish” because I am a woman. However, my partner wears mens clothes so often, I bring in their clothes too. All good brands, but because I am feminine presenting, they don’t like my clothes until I explain. They also have stated to me that they would like me to bring in larger sized clothes, I literally have to argue with the teenagers behind the counter to take my brand new clothes that are size L+. This is a very hostile environment if you are not a size XS or S.

I love Plato’s closet, but this one is ridiculous. Prices are way higher than others around Colorado and the staff were very rude. I found a used Patagonia vest listed at $20, so I picked it up hoping to buy it. They rang it up at the register and said it was $40. I showed them the tag and they said the price was wrong and kept with the $40 price, even though it was advertised as $20. You would think they would sell it for what the tag says. It’s not my fault an employee made a mistake.

The employees are pretty cold and rude. The way they handled the clothes was sloppy and they ripped the gucci bag that my clothes came in. My stuff was not handled with care. Not to mention the amount of time it took to get an estimate on my items and get them returned to me was super long. They only got through 6 peoples items in the span of 3 hours.

I enjoy buying clothes here, but I would not recommend selling here. I do not understand their buying process as it seems super subjective to whoever is working. I brought in all popular brands and in great condition and they passed on the majority of items. I had one pair of shoes that were worn which I understand not taking but I brought Set Active as well as Agolde denim which they passed on. Both in great condition and are expensive brands. They said it was because they were 1.5 plus years old which is untrue. If you look at the clothes they sell they have American Eagle and Brandy Melville from years ago and in poor condition. I've seen Brandy Melville items with holes and stains. I even brought in an item I bought from Plato's less than a month ago and they passed on it. They need to standardize the buying process as every time I try to sell it is a guessing game on how much they will take. It's not an enjoyable process and I'm much better off going through the extra work to sell on Depop or Poshmark.
